Love the piccie Nic.   :wow:  And yes, he does have a huge Kitler.   :evillaugh:

I thought that might have been a reaction to his injection site, but glad you can now access it to get the steroid cream on.  Poor Chester.  He's a brave little sodja.   :Luv:

Its ever so sweet how they do that now, but it breaks my heart every morning. they watch me the whole way down the street till my car is out of sight  :Luv2:
They are gorgeous and Chester has a huge kitler  ;D ;D

I had to google what a Kitler is. OMG, I love it!!! My boy has a Kitler

They did the watching at the window thing again this morning.  :Luv2: Chester has also almost figured out door handles. he's taken to springing up and down like bloody Zebedee trying to use the handles with his little paws  He's trouble is my Chester.

Wee mite now has a shaved shoulder and neck so we can get steroid cream onto the horrible scabs on him. It definitely looks like a reaction to the jags he's had. I'll be talking to my vet about doing his vaccinations in a different injection site. Just need to get him back to full health so we can get the vaccs done and I can stop my manic fretting about him.

And... as it's Christmas, my lovely marketing team have provided me with this:

I love all the sleepy pics and Chester all snuggled up is great  ;D

Lupin watches me leave in the car and he knows when the car is gone so am I.

Aw, it's so hard to leave them when they do that.  Not that the gurls notice when I leave the house - they're always way too busy to bid me farewell.  And Moray's usually out, doing Moray stuff.....

Oh, I'm definitely getting my revenge for all the baby photos and stories.
My facebook page is flooded with cute kitten photos and I'm boring everyone senseless talking about them  :evillaugh:

I have friends who posted on FB when their hooman offspring used the potty, complete with photos....they should count themselves lucky that I didn't put up a photo of Chesters first solid poo

I've already told our HR manager that I think I should have been given adoption leave. It's not like I've ever used up maternity leave is it?

I would've liked to call work this morning and say "sorry, I won't be in, the kittens looked at me adorably from the window as I was leaving and I had to go back in to spend the day with them"

Its ever so sweet how they do that now, but it breaks my heart every morning. they watch me the whole way down the street till my car is out of sight  :Luv2:

Susanne, I can hardly credit that Kito is 11 months old already!

Cats very definitely mature at different ages, depending on their ancestors and heritage.  There are few things nicer than when your "adult" cat suddenly becomes a kitten again in front of your eyes.

What I think is very evident, and absolutely lovely, is just how much we all adore our kitten cats.   :Luv:  And there are legions of people out there who will never experience that.  Which makes us very lucky - and very smug!  :evillaugh:

Dawn, that had me creased with laughter - I've often wanted to get my "revenge" like that too.

They're at that stage I think where you can glimpse the adult cats they'll become, whilst they're still clad in kitten clothing.

I love that - perfect purrfect description  ;D  They are most definitely kittens but they do grow up so quickly don't they?  I can't believe Kito is almost 11 months and looks like an adult cat.  He's most definitely a kitten however and just can't resist those kitten swipes and playful moves.  I thought of Mosi as a kitten until he was about 4 or 5 because he behaved like one

They are beautiful and I'm not surprised you're besotted with them.  I feel like that when I look at Kito (Mosi too of course but it's a new thing with Kito) - I just can't believe how perfect he is and that he's all mine  :Luv:  I love every inch of him, even when he wakes me up at 5am but lying on my face and poking me in the eye.

I just love showing them off on here  ;D

I'm besotted with those monsters.

Must admit I'm abusing company resources and staff by getting one of the clever creative geeks in my marketing team to make some of their photo's christmassy in the hope I can use them for christmas cards this year  :innocent:

Nic, whatever they are, kitten/cat, they're both little stunners.  They're at that stage I think where you can glimpse the adult cats they'll become, whilst they're still clad in kitten clothing.  A fascinating stage in their development.   :Luv2:

I know what you mean - there are days when all I want to do is stay home with my OH and our cats.  They make life so much more pleasurable, don't they?    :Luv:

Beau has the most beautiful ear tufts, not to be outdone by Chester's endearing little face.   :)

A few more photos of my gorgeous boys  :Luv2:

I only seem to be able to get photos when they’re asleep. They move too quickly when awake!!

They still love to sleep together but because they’re getting so big, they now struggle to fit on their favourite cushion (which they’ve destroyed)

They are just such a joy. They both sit on the window ledge in the morning watching me leave for work. Chester looked so miserable today I went back in twice for snuggles before actually getting into my car  :shy:

It's lovely when they do that gazing into your eyes thing.  Ross used to do it with me.  Moray doesn't like to make eye contact unless it's the slow blink, and even then it's coyly done.   :)

Yes, that is indeed a onesie, I spend the majority of time at home in a onesie  :evillaugh:

They've doubled in size in the 7 weeks since I got them. It's wonderful to see them thriving but I must admit, I do miss them being teeny tiny. They still attempt to both get on my lap at the same time but they don't fit anymore.

Last night it was like they'd worked out a rota for lap time. One would lie for 20 minutes then they'd swap over. They both do this thing where they climb right up my chest so their wee faces are right up at mine and then they just gaze at me. No idea what that's about but it's adorable.

Chester melted my heart last night, I got home, fed them, changed and tidied round before sitting down. He was at the other side of the room playing, but when he saw me sit on the sofa he came hurtling accross the room full speed, raced accross the coffee table and got straight on my lap. He was purring like a wee engine and went straight to sleep.

It was like he'd been waiting all day for his lap time  :Luv2:

A few more photos. Spome of you may remember how pleased I was with the little bed with a cat shaped opening. Beau finally decided to use it last night, but in typical cat fashion, he preferred sleeping on top of it!

The other photo is Chester in a tiny basket my niece was using to carry a toy kitten in when she visited. Chester was very taken with it and determined to squeeze himself into it  :Luv2:

That's such positive news Nic.  Can't tell you how chuffed I feel reading it.

Ah yes - I see your loungewear...  ;) :evillaugh:   They are getting bigger aren't they?  I'v even noticed that Malt and Barley have almost doubled in size in the month since we got them, and their coats are sleek and shiny with plumpshuss little bodies underneath those furry little Onesies.  Makes you feel good, doesn't it?   :Luv:

Wee update on my adorable monsters.

We had them both at the vets on Friday night. Chester for the ongoing bowel issue and Beau just to get checked over.

Unfortunately, Chesters bowels had started to swell again, so we’ve had to put him on the full dose of metacam.
My vet hopes we’ll start getting results from the poo test today but he also said it could just be that a bad bout of diarrhoea has left him with inflammation which just needs time to heal.

He’s doing really well though, solid poo all weekend, eating lots and he’s gained weight back and is looking lovely and healthy again.
I just hope we can either find the cause or that his bowel heals enough that it all works without the medication now.

We had a visit from my in laws last night. OHs parents and his gran came to see them for the first time. Chester is such a people cat. He was straight over to them all and delighted Andys gran by going straight on her lap and giving her some head butts.
Beau shot off like the hounds of hell were chasing him and hid under the sofa for 10 minutes. But his curiosity got the better of him and he came out to see who all these new people were. he eventually curled up on the cushion next to gran and she is now 100% in love with him  ;D

I spent most of yesterday cleaning the house from top to toe. It took me a lot longer than usual because I had a few breaks to give the monsters some lap time. beau delayed me tackling a pile of ironing which was welcome. Chester decided it was nap time just as I was about to do the windows….they still aren’t done.

But who can resist lap time with such precious babas.
Look at them  :Luv2:  :Luv2:

Potential recruits for norty club methinks  :naughty:

It's a shame you cant have them in the bedroom but it's a double edged sword allowing that anyway.  Jaffa and Magpie were shut out for the first 8 years.  we had a routine and they got bedtime treats and then settled down in the living room for the night.  In the morning there were fusses galore and tbh I think they liked that.  After I lost Magpie I tried having Jaffa in the bedroom but it didn't really work as it was so new to him he wouldn't settle and just climbed on everything.  When I got Mosi however I wasn't sure what to do as couldn't shut him out on his own when he was used to snuggling up to his siblings and didn't want Jaffa to feel shut out while Mosi was in the bedroom so in the end they both stayed in the bedroom and we never looked back.  Many sleepless nights later, both Mosi and Kito sleep on my bed at night.  It would be nice if you could have the boys in with you but they will be fine with being shut out if that's what's needed.

Our bedroom one is the biggest one we could get as OH is allergic to long haired cats but as he has been away for the last 6 years several claimed squatters rights and he wont move them we also have a fur throw over the bed and they sleep below the line so to speak

Thanks Liz, we've got 2 air purifiers that we'd hoped would help. The downstairs one has made a huge difference, but the bedroom one doesn't seem to help. I think it's maybe them being on the bedding that causes it.

I'm really hoping it'll get better with time as I never had this problem with my 3 cats.
