As most Purrs members will already know, our healing vibes weren’t enough this time and sadly Teresa lost her battle with ill health a month ago.  Her family and friends have been heartened by the wonderful tributes paid to her on Purrs and overwhelmed by the generous donations made to Paws Inn in her memory.

Teresa’s husband Rob, who has shared the day to day running of Paws Inn from its inception over 20 years ago, is continuing to run the Rescue with help from a small band of volunteers.  However, it doesn’t seem appropriate to continue posting updates on this thread so it will remain locked and pinned here as a reminder (if one were needed) of the huge contribution Teresa continued to make to Cat Rescue even when her own health was failing.

A new thread http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php/topic,41837.0.html will try to keep you up to date with events at Paws Inn.  You’ll probably find that I do most of the posting but that’s because the people doing the real work (Rob and Debbie) don’t have time to post.

She must be exhausted doing all that she is while so ill. It's wonderful she has so many great volunteers mucking in though. :)

Just a quickie to let you know Teresa is back in hospital.  :(

All the cats and kittens at the Inn are fine.  The lovely vet nurses are taking care of the bottle feds (they take them home at night) and Rob is looking after the others with Debbie's help.  Follyfoot is a star, the gingers have put weight on and are eating well and Pudding is restored to full health and feeding her kittens up (especially the ginger one).  I still have the Houdinis who are making themselves very much at home. :shify:

As for Sonny & Jimbo, they are my type of cats - you know I have a ginger fixation - if only  :owwww:

Oh Teresa, what a fantastic job you've done on these babies (oh, and well done Pudding too, a very cute mixture she's produced there!) The before/after shots of Jimbo and Sonny are particularly unbelievable in this short space of time.  ;D

All credit to the wonderful Debbie for transforming Sonny and Jimbo, awful as it sounds the amount of handling I do must be restricted at present in order to protect the bottlefeds, which means I can touch but not cuddle so Sonny and Jimbo were delighted to have Aunty Debbie yesterday.
Follyfoot was quite a scruff before Natalie groomed her yesterday.
Must admit I am proud to have such a lovely band of helpers and so proud of all our little rescues.

:wow: Super pics.  Foollyfoot is a looker and I love the name.  I've not heard it before but knew it would be appropriate so I Googled it and this is what I found.

'Follyfoot was a memorable series with a social conscience where people and animals were given a second chance.'

Like I thought - appropriate.  :)

The Houdinis are all doing well and Bonnie caught her first prey yesterday -  a daddie longlegs.  I was relieved to see she didn't eat it but next time I looked it was gone.  :scared:  Maybe it was only playing dead and managed to get out through the top window (but I don't think so).  They're getting a bit too quick for photies now and I'm amassing my usual  bums and blurs now.     Flash is living up to his name and is the very devil to catch when he doesn't want to be caught.  OH does the morning feed and has to come back to bed afterwards to recover from the exertion of getting them all back in the cage.   :evillaugh:

Sending strength giving vibes to you T .    Not sure whether whether or not I should include all the inmates in that - they're probably running you ragged already.  Perhaps I should wish for health and placidity for them.  ;)

Follyfoot has that same gentle look that Baby Bea had, such a beautiful girl  :Luv2:

The tabbies are all so very sweet. I can't say I'm surprised you're feeling rather pleased with yourself, they are a real credit to your love, dedication and skill. Now, feet up, please!

Pudding is thankfully much brighter and eating again and her babies thriving.
I feel very much like the proud mum today with bottlefeds all showing significant weight gain, the smallest Basil is 180grams,the biggest is Parsley at 220 grams and Dill,Sage and Thyme all weigh in at 200grams,they have all had a bath today, didnt mention it previously but they all stunk of curry powder and no matter what we did it became more and more pungent when they got warmer, we will see if the Jonsons baby shampoo perfume lingers on.
Follyfoot our new fluffy girl seems to be litter trained now,she is very sweet and settling in well.
Sonny and Jimbo also seem to be coping with the litter tray now, they are lapping but very slowly. They weigh in at 300grams and 340grams for 5 week old kittens that is worrying esp when you think our biggest 11 day old bottlefed is 220grams.

This is all very difficult to visualise  :naughty:

Will post pictures of them all a little later.

:waiting:

So sorry to hear that Pudding is poorly on top of everything else.   I hope she's on the mend now.

The new kittens sound like hard work.

You can't help the whole world, much as you'd like to. If you take on any more now, you'll make yourself ill again, and then no-one gets the benefit.  :sad no:

He's right, you need to draw a line in the sand. Saying No never feels right, but you need to be fair to the babies already in your care, and yourself.

Pace yourself, find strength in the results you're acheiving. You are amazing, but with the greatest respect, please don't ruin yourself by taking on any more.  :tired:

Wise words Sheila.  I think you should have them pinned up in front of you Teresa so that every time the phone rings you can read them before answering.

Hope those gingers get the hang of it soon, looking forward to pics of them and their wormy belly friend!

Hope that Pudding starts to perk up soon :care:

That was quick for the snuggle safe to arrive - there's lots more things to come from the wishlist, I'm touched at how many people on here and Facebook have bought something!
