You are welcome here Izzy  ;D

I dont invade your space.

Sasa has banished herself to the greenhouse and all cats and humans smell cos we all have our unique smell and Sasa hasnt got used to another cat smell in the house.

She is a bit of a scaredy cat cos she had a bad life before she came here and is a semi feral and hates people.

:evillaugh: :evillaugh:   Gill, am so pleased your little Geordie Gadgie (that's what we call 'em up here) is showing no unfortunate after effects from his op and all is functioning normally  ;)    Am a firm believer in serendipity, especially when it comes to our pet companions.   :)

Not sure Ducha will glad everything's back to normal service, though.   :Luv:  Sending a "knowing look" to Ducha

Oh yes I think you are right and I waited and waited for about 3 weeks before going up north for Lupin.

Napoleon is definately teaching him and all the norty things LOL, he has been chasing Ducha today and hve had to banish him from the bedroom and on the whole he is being Ok as long as I am in the room with him.

Also think that during today he has got some sleep which is not drug induced from his op yesterday and he will be starting to feel better. he also had pain relief and abs after the op. so all of this would have been affecting him.

He has used the tray prolifically today so every thing is working. He couldnt finish a pouch of food just now so his extreme hunger has gone

So by tomorrow I think it will just be norty Lupin LOL

Franta chose him.
That is why you knew you had to go all the way to the other side of the country to see this kitten.
He told you to go there and bring that particular cat home.
Some cats do select someone to help you get over the loss and help you understand they are still with you.
For Franta is with you, not just in your heart, but also in the guidance he is giving Lupin.

Just like Jiskefet chose and coached Ricky.
I had already decided I did not want another cat, but when I buried Jissy, I suddenly felt I had to be at a rescue I had never been before, and not just any time, but at 11 sharp the next morning. I didn't even know they opened at 11 am. We arrived at 11.10, and Ricky was looking out for us in the window, as if to say: what took you so long? It turned out he had just come out of quarantaine that morning.

Cats know what they are doing when they send us a cat of their choice.

We have just arrived home and from his eyes I can tell he is still dopey.

He has just munched through a pouch of food, thought it was better than him keep licking the area! No stitches.

He is very quiet at present and no singing in the car  :innocent:

I think most that have seen him agree with you Helen lol. all the ladies, except the grumpy two on desk tonight, have been drooling over him and the vets too.

He is looking a little confused but he knew he was home  ;D

He has also been chipped and realized in the car I got his DOB wrong grrrrrrrrrrrrr, will ring the chip company tomorrow.

Agree about the hormones point - once his have settled down after the op he will smell different to the others.  Maybe they see him as a bit of a threat now as he will smell like an entire cat.

Glad the op went well - he'll soon be back home and singing!  ;D

Pleased Lupin came through the op ok  ;D  Perhaps now he has been neutered his scent will change as his hormones change over the next few weeks and it will make Misa and Sasa less wary.

Have you tried singing along with him Gill  :evillaugh:

Thanks all, he was coming round from the anesthetic just after two and can be collected from 1600 onwards. I will be collecting him just before 1800.

Sadly LOL, he has now learnt to sing in the car too, I am hoping he was just hungry or needed the tray or something!

I am hoping that todays trip hasnt made him scared of the carrier cos up to now he just toddles in when I ask him  :innocent:

Thanks Liz I had forgotten about feliway, I dont have any partly cos Sasa doesnt like it but if the need be I will try a plug in. Both Misa and Sasa can come in anytime they like and during the night they can go anywhere in the house except the bedroom and during the day they can use the whole of the back of the house and Misa has taken to sleeping in the kitchen, close to the flap and Sasa eventually after midnight came in to eat........sigh#

She is spending all her time in the greenhouse at present.

Today if they wanted they had the full run of the house but have chosen not to come any further than the utitilty room  for Misa and Sasa not at all, she hasnt been in to eat.

I am sure Lupin has fully scented the house and certainly they have heard his operatics and am hoping that it will just take some time for Misa and Sasa to accept him. Ducha gives him a look as if to say, stop pestering me, leave my food alone and just stop making that noise, then he starts whining and shouting himself LOL

I am now going to have to block the banisters on the stairs up cos he is looking between the struts and am sure he is trying to work out what will happen if he jumps! Birmans are just too clever for their own clogs

This afternoon have been out in the garden and am feeling so good about Lupin, I will never ever forget Napoleon but its like he is sending Lupin tips on how to behave and Lupin is already coming down the stairs like Napoleon, touching my legs and getting under my feet but all the time looking up at me to make sure I am still moving downwards  ;D

His eyes are a fabulous shade of blue, darker than Napoleons and dont know how much he will grow but his legs should get darker.

I am over the moon with my little man  :wow: :wow:

Aww he is totally adorable  :Luv:
I'd let the others in while he is away and get the scent of him maybe and let their scent in to his place?  I'm sure they will soon get used to each there. They know where they have it good and wont want to give up the good life.
The op will be over in no time. Monty never even had stitches and was just the same when he came home as when he left!

I didn't have time to worry about Fred's op as I was convinced he didn't have any peas , but they found them when I took Ginger in and asked them to look, they were just a bit small  :-[

Thank you everyone, I love him  ;D

Trouble is Sasa wont come in the house and even eat!, She is staying in the greenhouse but have to think when ever she comes in Lupin is howling and she just leaves again......sigh

I need to get her coming in again.

I hope she will come in later when she thinks we are all asleep. Misa is in but wont come further than the kitchen, this is not good.

While Lupin is away tomorrow will open up the house and see if both will come into the front room.

He's gorgeous!  :Luv:  Certainly looks like he's settling in and feeling at home.  He will be fine having the snip and probably just as well you haven't had time to fret over it.  It's a very quick op for the boys.  When Mosi came back from being done you'd never have known he'd had anything done - he just bounced out of his carrier and picked up where he'd left off before his little trip!
