Exciting stuff Gill.      Hope it all works out.      I'll get speak to OH when he gets back.     He drives up as far as Nottingham from Bristol so would have some idea.     I think he may be even going to Nottingham tomorrow.

Yes afraid I dont know anyone round here and cats are the most unloved by people.

Thank you for your replies, I have driven to Birmingham before bit about 4 yrs ago so the route onwards is completely new to me and maybe good news then Rosella.

Yes I think I will be exhausted after doing just one way but will just stop and sleep if I have to.

Also of course I dont know how Storm will be travelling so far cos most he has done before was 20 mins as a kitten, just hope he doesnt sing!

That's a lot of driving in one day, Gill.

I used to use the A1/A1(M) a lot and always found it fine although it does get very busy.  A lot of it is only 2 lanes and a lot of lorries use it.  Not used it for a while as last time I visited my mum I used the A19 instead.

I can't believe you are doing it in one day, do you really not have anyone you can trust with the cats - you will be exhausted

I went down the m5 m4 for part the other week and it wasnt too bad. The m42 is also fairly clear most of the time as it has varying speed limits.
Dont know about the rest though.
Good luck

Anything to do with another Birman by any chance?  ;) Where are you going?  :shify:
