Keep at it, Angie. I'd love Portia to go to a trained professional that she's bonded with while getting back to good health! :)

How many offers of homes do you think you are going to have for Portia Angie ?,  I would think there might be a few  :Luv2:

The VN happened to mention she had a BSH just like her at home :shify:

I was in the vets this afternoon with my two poorly foster kittens and i asked after Portia, it was the Vn that has a bsh already and she seems very smitten by portia, so i made lots of hints about her going up for adoption when she is better :sneaky:. She was telling me how she will only eat while being stroked :Luv2:

there is a charity choice link on our website which will (hopefully) point you to covcats - ignore the large amounts , one pound is a perfectly acceptable amount!

Done Angie,  I will send you some more after payday as well  :Luv2:

Think they've been to busy treating the symptoms - I've got 2 cats in to be spayed on Friday so hopefully will learn more then.

I'm going to send a thankyou card when thing look more settled (would do now but don't want to jeopardize anything!). I shall create one via moonpig with a pic. of portia on the front and "thankyou for helping meowt' (one of their standard sayings) and the inside will say something with a list of sigs. A large card is £6 and then of course the biccies to go on top of it ......so if anyone would like to add their thanks you can pm me with something to put on the inside of the card. If you would like to add a message of thanks then a £1 donation via our site would be good.

Oh yes please,   where do I donate to ?,

I will PM you a message for the card.

the poor vet must hate me!

She is bouncing around and eating well - she's on Hills AD at the moment. She will only eat when someone is with her, a thing Ross realised over the weekend and the nurses didn't until he told them. She still has diarrhea and at this stage there is no knowing what permanent damage has been done. They have stopped the anti-Bs and currently she is on Kaolin and a probiotic to try and settle her after all the stuff she's had.
Ross wants to keep her in a stable environment over the next few days and intends to keep her there until the weekend (she is getting spoilt rotten by everyone there!) and says the important thing is to get her through this.

I was sure Lisa said she was a Raggy,  oh well must be me going mad in me old age

I thought she did too - but I remember looking at Portia's pic and thinking at first she looked more siamese (old fashioned shape) than anything LOL!

So pleased she is on the mend - maybe if the vet or vet nurse took to her it would be for the best if she is going to have ongoing problems -that way she is alays in the best hands and can be treated immedietly.

according to her certificate she is a bsh  - I didn't really get to see much of her on thursday, just picked her up and went straight to the vets.

Didnt think she looked much like a ragdoll, apart from being colourpointed of course  :) It sounds like she's on the mend, I'd have her like a shot LOL! (did I really say that?!!!  :evillaugh: )

I think we are all cat maxed out on here Lisa,  it was more of a fun comment saying we would all fight over her as we have all got so caught up with Portia's story, I for one dont think my 10 would be pleased if I produced another one for them to share their house with  :Luv2:

ok you Portia lovers.

Just spoke to a vet nurse (the one that did the bumbath!!) and she tells me Portia is doing well. She notices the difference between today and friday when she last saw her. she said friday you could do anything to her without protest but this morning she put up a bit of a fight when medicated.

They still want to keep her in for a few days to 'calm down' the diarrhea.

I think a  :yesss: is called for!
