hate to be a party pooper here, but given that this is now a matter that has been referred to the police it might be more appropriate to let them know that a letter sent to that address has been received and signed for - that way they have somewhere to start their investigations. I am more than a little uncomfortable with going to the woman's front door and confronting her in these circumstances as it may compromise any future legal action ... Sorry, but I spend a lot of time with lawyers, and this is my opinion based on past experiences....

Just found a PM Lisa sent me and her "signature" was
MUMMY TO TODD THE DOG AND MOLLY,BAILEY,BRIDIE,FLOSSY
,PICKLES,MAKOSI AND MAX THE CATS

Well, there was the thread about the one she thought was pregnant when it was due to be spayed, and if it was she would let her have them and her mum and her sister (who I didn't think she was talking to) were going to have kittens.

That was Mokosi and Makosi was definitely spayed, trust me.

I have often wondered if "Sarah", the person with the cats, was just another alias, as the only contact ever made with her by anyone was by text message I think.

The thing is, if I had offered to take the cats, who would have handed them over to me, seeing as I had met "Lisa".

Possible - she had enough mobile phones (see swap shop) on the go, so she could easily have a few mobile numbers.

Sorry - I said I wouldnt speculate again!

oh yes lesley that indeed would have been the one named maloski or something like that.  She couldnt afford to have the cat spayed and a voucher was kindly made available then there was all this odd to'ing and fro'ing (alledgedly) and no one  knowing if the cat was or wasnt pregnant and then her affording 50 odd quid for a scan "just in case"

The cat was spayed and as far as i am aware that can be confirmed (i think)  Of course she had around 5 cats i'm sure  :-:

I do think Sarah was someone else.  I had a few texts off her and she said Lisa had contacted her out of the blue.  She was always asking her about getting her cats spayed/neutered and Sarah didn't appreciate someone telling her how to look after her cats so didn't keep in touch with her.........apparently that is  :tired:

This is information gathered from Sue (Paddysmum) who has been so kind to find this out, which, you may find very interesting.

Hi Sue

Okay, got the info back this morning.  The address of .............................................Hampshire is registered at H M Land Registry under title number P162823.  It comprises freehold land only, described on the office copies as "................. Street, Landport".

It is owned by the Lord Mayor Aldermen and Citizens of the City of Portsmouth.

There is no leasehold.

Effectively this means the property is owned by the local authority.

It is not in private ownership as there is no leasehold title information  (sometimes a body can own a freehold  - ie the land on which a building stands while someone else can own the leasehold - usually the building or premises which are built on the land.  As no leasehold info is available it's reasonable to conclude that the freehold is all that exists and the council own both the land and any building erected on it.

Sorry this isn't more positive, but it looks very much as if she's fibbed about owning their own home too.

Sorry hun had to edit to take out addy on public thread.  :Luv:

So we now understand, sadly it would seem that very little truth was told. Almost a Walter Mitty character. I just wish she would come clean. Surely it must be playing on her mind. Far better in my opinion to hold your hands up and say sorry. I usually say there are no problems only solutions, but I think this one may the exception to the rule.

Nice pic, ela!

I know, however I did not have enough time to put all my makeup on, so it does not show me quite at my best. Then again why should you lot not see me as my husband does in the morning. Perhaps that is why he tries to be out by the time I get up.

I agree Ela ... I'm also a softie and try to see the good in everyone.  She obviously has some problems and unfortuantely the bigger web of lies she spins the harder it is to ask for help.

Well I am still hoping Lisa will see sense and  pay up for the pen and the cats tents. She must know by now that things will not get any better for her until she does. I know I am a softie but I do feel a little sorry for her. For someone to be in such a mess must be a terrible strain albeit self inflicted.

I guess the one about parents dying and leaving houses needs to take a break for a while  ;D

I managed to remove Norton ok, but my subscription had expired so that maybe makes a difference.

Gill - I took the plunge and have IE 7 and it's ok.  Really!  Not had any problems at all and after a bit of fiddling around have got it to look pretty much the same as IE6.
