I hope that this was just a one off and that vet can set your mind at rest tomorrow, or at worst can do tests to isolate cause and provide medication if necessary. Really don't know much about epilepsy in cats, but in people a one off would just be viewed as an aberration, and follow up after basic checks would be minimal unless there are further 'absences'. Bella was playing with my daughter when she suddenly froze, wouldn't respond to touch or her name, lasted a minute or so and then she seemed to come out of it, she looked like a person having an absence seizure. She seems okay now purring, she's gulped down some food, have a vets appointment at 10am tomorrow but really worried about her. She's five years old has a minor heart murmur but is normally well :(
