My puter kept crashing! but here are a couple of him with all his things from Lauren's so things aren't strange, eventually we'll move them out.

Thanks JS :) yep, to be expected with some cats I suppose, we've been really lucky with our last few cats, Smokey loved other cats so accepted Schui immediately, and Schui accepted Byron straight away too but she's a bit iffy, I think she's a bit scared tbh.

I think you kind of expect a "what do you think you're doing" reaction with most cats really....hope Byron settles down and glad Pepper is doing OK. :)

He's had a wonder round the kitchen and hall, eaten his food - and Byron's! and he's weed and pooed  :)  I've spent time with him given him a good brush and cuddle and he seems fine.   Byron's not too pleased though and was going to wee in my bag this morning  :( so feliwayed everywhere and keeping them separate for a while, giving her lots of reassurance too.

I heard him during the night knock Byron's food dish off her little table (the one Schui used) so I fed him, we moved the barrier but he hasn't moved from his little corner as yet and Byron hasn't been in the kitchen I don't think, so we'll see today.

Yes Gill he seems very wary I've been watching him and it's interesting, although he's in a small area if he moves from from his cushion he sniffs all the other things as if to find a marker so he knows where everything is.  Although Schui was deaf and then went blind it was very different for him because he knew where everything was but Pepper has no idea as yet so is bound to be reluctant to move from his comfort zone.

He sounds lovely and he came with his own little stool too.....so sweet.

I've taken some photos and will upload them in the morning.  He's just sat sleeping on and off but he still knows everytime we go into the kitchen and bruups, he's so sweet!  Byron growled when she first saw him and has peeped round the door a few times but tbh I don't think she'll give a damn she can't be bothered, which is good because she was my main concern.

Pep hasn't eaten his tea though which I hoped he would because it has his tablets in for his blood pressure and heart although that may be because he ate a fair bit this afternoon, I will give him his thyroid tablet later in a treat.   I think I'll give him his tablets first thing on a morning to make sure he's really hungry and gets the meds down him.

;D Pepper is here and settled, he's had 2 small dishes of food and lots of cuddles (he's been purring away, he's gorgeous  :Luv:).  He isn't supposed to be keen on catnip but I took one of Byron's stinkies in and he was having a little play with it when we looked  ;D, poor boy it must feel strange though.  We've set him up as he was at Laurens in the kitchen with his little stool which he likes to sit on, litter tray and other familiar things until he finds his paws.  She also made a guard which he had in her flat so he was away from the other cats so we'll keep that for the time being as it keeps him in small area.  I think he's tired now because he's dosing off, Lauren has just left and I'll take some photos later.

 :thanks: Christine and Theresa

Lauren is nearly here but stuck in traffic she said he's quiet but gets a little angry and scratches a bit - he gets a bit frustrated I think but she stopped to give him a cuddle half way and he was so pleased and gave her slobbery kisses bless him  :Luv:

I wonder if Lauren is the lady who look after Teddy? IT was Josie who told me teddy is with a lady with 8 cats :)
Teddy was the cuddly b/w cat with rta i think.

Well good luck with Pepper.

Sorry Pav, I thought I'd clicked quote

She may be  ;D I'll ask her, I do know Lauren has 8 cats

I'd defo recommend the defurrum treats hun, they're the only way I can get tablets inside Max, just break the biscuit in half, pop the pill inside, it gets hidden with the gooey deferrum paste, then pop the biscuit back together again  ;)

Exactly the way I feel, I have agreed to a couple without seeing them, but then I am used to fosteirng and taking on whatever is needed. I remember when my friend took in a foster for us, she was asking loads of questions on age, sex, colour, and I had to ring the lady loads of times, as I just agree and see what turns up!!
