Why aren't they being more helpful

I am afraid I cannot answer for other branches, I suggest you ring CP HQ on Monday morning and advise them.

What number are you ringing?

0121 444 4433 South Birmingham deal with Our area of operations includes the following post codes; B1-15, B9-17, B25-31, B33, B37-40, B45, & B90-93.

Surely I'm saving CP the hassle of trapping, housing and feeding them.

I don't think that fair comment, it is not only the responsibility of CP.

Surely I'm saving CP the hassle of trapping, housing and feeding them. Why aren't they being more helpful? When I ring, it's an answer machine with a multitude of options, non of which are relevant. I try one at random, and the person concerned isn't there 'right now'!!!

How do you manage to get the funds from them?

You ask your local Branch or HQ. Of course the initial post refers to cats in CP care.

There are loads of things that must be done although we in Chesterfield have been doing everything for a long time but what I am really pleased  about is that branches who cannot afford the cost of:-

Blood testing  all cats deemed to be at higher risk of FeLV and FIV
Provide a full vaccination course (two injections three weeks apart) of cat 'flu and enteritis, FeLV and chlamydophila felis to all cats and kittens.
Microchip.

Can now receive funds from Cats Protection HQ to implement the changes in the guidelines.
