I have a soft spot for gingers but 2 other things are more likely to catch my attention and they are extra toes and big fat tom cats

Im not keen on BSH or kids

when i was little (about 7 i think) i really really wanted a long haired pure white female cat with blue eyes, pink nose and pink pads. then my mum turned up with this scrawny unkempt shothaired tabby male kitten with a peach nose, peach pads and green eyes, and from that second on, my universe centered around him

that said, i love black and white and black colours but its personality above all else. i honestly cant remember how i used to feel about red/ginger cats

since the arrival of lucifer i think theyre so gorgeous but i cant remember if it was always like that!

I don't seem to like the appearance of none symmetrical cats either but I did have one and I loved her to bits. The beauty is on the inside.

So I have two long hair cats and two short hair cats. I don't have a favourite colour but I have always wanted a colourpoint and I think it will be many years before I get one. My least favourite are solid colours but I think it is all in the personality really but
I would never seek out a solid black cat. Shame on you. I'm sure they don't think much of you either lol
Slightly off topic, I am very partial to Persians as I think they have wonderful laid back temperaments and very fluffy bottoms!
Before fluffy Freddie arrived, I'd never have considered a long haired cat especially a mainly white one but his fluffy bottom is a delight!

Ultimately, I know that if a waif or stray turned up on my doorstep, I'd end up taking it in regardless of what colour or breed [or not] it turned out to be. I only went to the CP looking for 1 [2 at most] cats and ended up with 6.

It doesn't take much of a sad story to get me thinking I could squeeze one more in...went to CP foster mum - looked round - no kitties caught my eye - turned to leave and came face to face with a tiny long haired black and white kitten - he'd climbed the fence up to my head height [5'7"] - we looked at each other - he shouted at me - and the foster mum said the fateful words......oh, that's Humphrey, he tries ever so hard but no-one ever notices him

. It's been 9 years now and he still shouts at me!

Yes Gill I more than many am well aware of that, and i wasnt condeming so please dont accuse me of doing something i didnt do. Regardless of anyones experiences after birth the fact they were born means for the biggest majority their mothers thought enough not to have them aborted. Just a pity for many of us that might have been a better option for the first 16 years !

Anyway that is just far too way off topic even for me

I have a 10 year old who is a dilute tortie and she is half Persian and exceedingly fluffy and I think she is beautiful!! I also have a black and white moggie who is so pretty and now a 1/4 Persian tabby and a 3/4 Persian smokey tabby. So I have two long hair cats and two short hair cats. apperently he left home (ran away) when he was about 4, packed up all his stuff into a sheet or something and knotted it onto a pole of some kind as seen in cartoons , put his kilt on and walked up the road (country/farm lane) waited for half an hour then returned home as he got bored

Just a little bit about preferences - it'd be a pretty boring forum if we all sat around telling each other how marvellous everything is, people have opinions and preferences and I think that as long as no-one is being abusive or deliberately offensive, it's nice to be free to express that opinion

Apparently he had a little kilt when he was about 3 and never took it off, but hasnt worn one as an adult..i did try to get him to try one on once but he just wouldnt.
