Ahhh bless him .... do you think this is a conscious thing, is he hanging on because he is stressed. I don't know if cats do this to be honest. I hope he doesn't stress himself out too much ... does the vet have any calming devices (felliway or pet remedy) in the it area. I know this may sound silly but I met the guy who deveoped Pet Remedy at the weekend and his peoduct is amazing and highly recommended by vets (here is one recommendation from their facebook page:
I met you at the BAHVS meeting. I brought home the little sample spray bottle and have been using it in my exam room and with my very nervous patients awaiting surgery. AMAZING!
I've had a number of clients order it already- I hope you've noticed a spike in your US sales!- and would like to start stocking the diffuser and a few spray bottles in my office.
Can you tell me how to proceed with the ordering?
Thanks,

This is just one of many such recommendations. It might be worth mentioning to the vet to help calm their patients. Anything that might help our little lad feel better and be able to come home to you is worth a go.
