This thread can be moved now, as it's felt the best plan for Dillen is to be a permanent sponsor with RACR. She's built up trust with Andrea and has medical conditions that seem to be exacerbated by change.

In the transport section, it seems that the run is covered.

But here, it seems that the Blackpool to Manchester bit isnt?

Just need to know if it is or isnt, as I have said I can cover this bit
if necessary.

regards,

Tiggerman.

One of the volunteers can only do this Sunday - have PM'd you about it. :)

[admin]Please can we keep this thread to helping Dillen. It does her no good whatsoever to have bickering about type of posts on her help thread. If you have any problems with another members, please discuss and try to resolve through personal messages. If not please contact me and i will try and help. Thanks[/admin]

Hopefully Dillen will get somewhere she can be helped sounds a lot like our Miss GG Skye and she still has her moments at shredding but is now a much happier soul has taken me 9 months to get her to where she is and a lot of lost skin and antibiotics if someone has the time and patieince I am sure she can be turned around - my advice is a lot of palsters, up to date Tetnus shot and a large bottle of wine

Good luck dillen

RE: Dillen. Please see transport section. This thread hasn't been updated because I was otherwise occupied starting a transport run and ensuring it was crossposted for maximum attention.

The run is covered apart from Blackpool to Manchester if anyone can help.

Are you surprised after you specifically keep saying I am causing trouble?
I  am entitled to an opinion too and to be brutally honest , you supposed to have left purrs a while back but i gave you a month and knew you would be back and yes, you were back before that.
You are the reason that some people have left here!
Horza   for one , when you kept going into the anal bleaching thread , you just wouldn't let it go then , so who is the trouble causer ?

Also others have left too including at least 2 rescues that were on here
Some of these people contributed a lot to purrs including computer help too so please start to look at who is in the wrong !!

Might I suggest people concentrate on the poor cat Dillen and take up problems through proper forum guidelines.
Thank you

Thankyou, what I also should have said too
I totally agree , just because others don't spend time nitpicking threads and causing others to leave  , they just get on with what needs doing instead without posting about all their achievements!!
Jack spratt does a fantastic job as do many others on here and the ones that have left because of being victimised
Sorry but I am sick of some people thinking they know better and more than others and no I am not causing trouble as once was said by this person, proab ly just stating what a lot of others think but are too afraid to say!

I actually don't understand what is so wrong about this? Just because JS didn't go to one problem cat specific rescuer you approve of T she's done it the wrong way?

I have to say, there wasn't any trouble until you started having a go at someone for trying to do the right thing.

I really cant be bothered with these petty attempts at causing trouble. I posted offering a good sensible suggestion where help could be found, I have quoted reply from JS and added my view which I thought I was entitled to have.
If people want to pretend things are written differently then get on with it you have too much time on your hands.

Bungly that is 2nd personal attack on me in week desist.

Forgive me if I've got the purpose of Purrs all wrong but aren't we here to help needy cats? Don't we have sections of the forum specifically for rehoming and URGENT rehoming? Is this not an urgent case of a cat in rescue in need of URGENT rehoming? The poor thing, who has been abused terribly going by her behaviour, needed a safe haven immediately otherwise the only option is to PTS due to the violent behaviour she is displaying.

JackSpratt works hard for several rescues and just because she doesn't consider herself a rescue worker doesn't make what she does any less valid than those who do. Just because she's not in a position to foster doesn't make what she does any less important either.

I think what has been said is utterly appalling and how dare someone question her motives! >:(

I  am so fed up of nitpicking over some cases of cats needs!
It's time some people stopped being so sanctimonious and realised that some people on here who are directly involved actually do know what they are doing .
No wonder a lot of regulars have left !

Second quote was sent to me from a rescue in utter meltdown. Yes, it's disturbing but it's factual. I was posting word for word the message I was sent. Sometimes things are that urgent. I didn't get chance to update as I was seeking out assistance through alternative channels and updated as soon as I got chance on here.

I appreciate that you were trying to help, but this girl isn't from the free ads. She's from a rescue struggling to do what's right for her because they've been big enough to admit they aren't winning. They're fortunate that another rescue has stepped in to offer foster care with someone experienced in cats that have psychological damage from being mistreated.

As an aside, what's meant by "making a name?"

Post ads? Sorry, I'm confused. She's going to be fostered by another rescue but remain the financial responsibility of BCIC. I don't see that there's a problem there as the rescue in question knows exactly what to expect.

(A transport run has already been started - hopefully for the weekend, but there's still one stretch to cover.)

"dillen has struck again, i really think we are coming to the end unless you can think of anything in next 24 hours or so ? the fosterer is now at the walk in centre as she has attacked very badly. i cannot see a way out on this one, sorry."

Can anyone help? Bentham rescue feel they aren't the best place for her. (Which I agree with - she'd see all the movement from the other cats and lash out.) She really needs a home with adults who have experience and patience.

2nd quote first- this reads that pts was on the cards, very distressing for people to read, a brief update might have caused less worry.

1st quote re ADS = yes I see this as Purrs freeads, lets hope I never get the time to list all the ones who are struggling out in the open with nowhere to go because people would then need sackfuls of tissues when they realise just how much damage some of these ads are actually doing by queue jumping; sorry I am not being nasty I am being honest and I have told you this many times in the past. It is not the most needy being helped but those who can spend time on lots of sites making names for themselves.

I will ad this poor cat is a genuine case and needs specialist help.I am merely posting on this thread in reply to you

CC, Nicky has literally no fosterers left that are in a situation to take a cat with Dillens temperament. She's short of fosterers as it is at present.

MIGHT be sorted though. I do agree, I feel humans have a duty to try until there's nothing left to try in cases like this.

Had a message from Nicky a few days ago about this little lady. She's around one and a half, has cataracts and has been treated utterly appallingly.

She came to Blackpool Cats in Care pregnant and after giving birth it became apparent that her kittens will need to be separated early.....because her sight is so bad and she's so protective of the kittens, whenever anyone tries to look at them she lashes out indiscriminately.

It seems the tops of her ears have been removed and Nicky has no idea why.

Dillen needs a home with no children and ideally no other animals due to her disposition. She's a special girl and I'm sure with the right home she'll thrive and learn to trust people again.

If you may be able to offer Dillen a home, please call Janet on 07813904838 and have a chat.

Ok, am in touch with the recommended rescue and have asked the feline behaviourist local to the Blackpool area if they'd consider a pro bono consultation due to Dillen being a rescue.

REALLY hoping I can find her somewhere.

I don't think so Janey, she was HUGELY mistreated.

Was she feral originally?

Hello

This may be a long shot, but Bentham & District Pet Rescue deal with feral cats. Maybe a call to them and you never know they may be able to help having more experience with aggressive/traumatised cats.

Just a desperate thought for a seemingly desperate situation.

Things aren't improving for this girl. She's still unpredictable and the carer has finally caved and separated Dillen from her young in an attempt to see if it helps matters. If it doesn't, they aren't entirely sure what to do. She can't be housed outdoor due to her health issues and she is really unpredictable and draws blood.

She's lovely. She's another I'll admit to being tempted into offering to help with in spite of logic saying it really isn't practical. Hopefully her perfect home will be found imminently.

Also needs to be moved to urgent. The fosterer shortage is making it impossible to meet the requirements needed for Dillen to be settled in foster care.

She really does. I think it's quite urgent too, BCIC don't have an awful lot of fosterers and because Dillen doesn't like being around other cats I think it's quite difficult.
