Cheshirecat seems to have fallen out of the contact radar and obviously with this one being pretty urgent it wouldn't be reasonable for Catwhisperer to wait for her to turn up before asking if it was OK to move this kitten to safety.

Presumably, the kitten will be up for rehoming from its new sanctuary and I would urge CheshireCat or anyone else interested to look into offering her a home after Christmas.

:shy: Just popping in to say I've run out of energy for the morning and am going to go and lie down now but I will be back later on - so don't anyone panic if they're waiting for a reply from me or anything!

Catwhisperer - I'm starting to think this one is very much 'green for go' so the next question is... when? Have you got Mitzy at the moment or is she still with your friend?

Cheshirecat - was it you with the spayed 3 year old girlie and wondering about getting a pair of kittens?

Just out of interest do you have kids/dogs/Daleks/a safe garden/the M6 going past your doorstep?

:) Where abouts in Cheshire do you live? I'm Manchester based so could help with transport or a visit if it looks like we're going to give this one a try.

Can I just add my twopence worth to this? I know people who work with HWAR and they are by far one of the best rescues in this country for dogs and cats

Are cats a new thing as I can see  no mention of cats on the site? Then again just because I cannot see cats does not mean cats are not there.

I live by Chester and already have a speyed girlie. I am due to rehome a kitten in the new year too. I work part time and my cat has the run of the house. If you think my home life would be suitable, Mitzy is more than welcome here.

had you considered maybe offering your services to your local Cats Protection? A lot of cats that need fostering do quite nicely in an outdoor 'cat chalet' that is installed in your back

Nowadays CP do not like cats to mix with any owned cats. so unless a person has a spare room a 'cat chalet' is the answer. A couple of the reasons are CP cats should not be allowed out, (long term ferals excepted) also when you take in rescue cats you just do not know if they are harbouring anything e.g FeLV, FIV, FIP ( and visa versa), a persons own cat becomes ill and then they claim from CP saying it is the foster cats fault

Hi Liz

It's a shame that the Hereford possibility didn't work out but I think in the end the correct reasons came through.

I hope you don't mind but I've altered the topic title to add the 'NW' bit - hopefully that will encourage someone local to come forward!

Within my own limits I'd be very happy to help with transport when you do find somewhere for the little'un.

BIG  :Luv: to Carol/Sweetness for the offer - I am sure there are many many needy cats who will be most appreciative of your help a little nearer home - had you considered maybe offering your services to your local Cats Protection? A lot of cats that need fostering do quite nicely in an outdoor 'cat chalet' that is installed in your back garden - that'd be a good solution if you have a few dogs around the place! :)

Hi All, I have spoken with Sweetness and we have agreed that for the sake of Mitzy, I am going to try and rehome her nearer Liverpool.

BIG  to Sweetness for her kind offer.  :Luv:

Can anyone near to or in Liverpool please try & think of anyone who will be suitable and is looking to rehome or foster an adorable little black & white Kitten, called Mitzy.

I know it is a lot to ask at this time of year but lets hope the Christmas spirit moves the right person to offer her a FOREVER home !

Thanks All LIZ XXX

Rebecca, from what I can tell my friend decided her cat was content without another cat for company and so isn't looking at present.(Although I'm sure she could be swayed if the right one came along!)

Unfortunately in the UK there is no injection against FIV, I am not saying you think that your cat is covered but you would be surprised how many people tell me their cat has been injected for flu, enteritis, FeLV and FIV

To be purrfectly honest I don't think so mostly kittens are very brave sometimes too brave for their own good.

Please dont take this the wrong way sweetness but I have read on another thread that you have got a young Jack Russel, a bengal cat and 4 kids - it might all be a bit much for little Mitzy, she is going to be unsettled being rehomed and might be overwhelmed.

Just thinking of the kitten
