That's great news, looking forward to seeing the pictures as I haven't even seen her! I don't know exactly what her story was but I will find out some more information and let you know. I'm not hands on with the cats so I sometimes find out about them a bit later on and I don't think she has been with us very long.

Thanks for the positive feedback, I'll pass it on to all involved and I'm so pleased we were able to help and Willow has such a lovely new home. ;D

Hehe, well I have heard how they're getting on  :P

and................ I have pics (i'll upload them when I get home!)

Willow is just such a sweetie and Emma is loving her already! Willow has padded on her, curled up asleep by her and also curled up purring away when Emma was on the computer! She loves to play and seems to have settled really well which is great as Em was nervous about having a cat to begin with!

Thanks so much to the Gateshead CP who acted so quickly and kindly - Emma had a really posistive experience and is really grateful!

Ann - can you just tell me how Willow came to you? It looks like half of one of her ears is missing too - did this happen when she lost her eye?

Hi sorry not to update sooner but yes Willow is one of ours at Gateshead. I had an email from Willow's fosterer to say Emma fell in love with her when she met her on Saturday and Willow went home with her there and then. Alison, our homing officer felt she would be a better cat for Emma as she hadn't had a cat before. I've not heard how they are getting on but fingers crossed all is well  ;D

Ann - Emma is going to email you about Sam!

She's really lovely but is nervous as she's never had a cat before  :innocent: I've asked her all about shutting the windows (she has them shut anyay because of spiders!) She will use the front door which has a vestibule so that it creates a cat 'air lock' so no escapees! She will let him have the free run of the home apart from the spare room and office and would like him to sleep on the bed with her at night lol! Shes aware of insurance and i've assured her about his FIV status and what that means day to day (nothing!)

Fingers crossed he's suitable lol!

OK I have a few more details...

It's a 3 bed home so there's plenty of room, she has a neice who is 4 who comes round once a week and is really looking for something that is as soft as anything!

Would Sam lash out at kids? Plus, she'd want to change his name as she lost her horse named Sam recently  :-[

Hi, don't know if you have been in touch with us at Gateshead CP but we have a lovely FIV+ boy called Sam who obviously needs to be indoors. He is on our Cat Chat page, wil try putting the link but it may not work

http://www.catchat.org/gatecp/cgibin/prview.cgi?id=2009021501

We aren't that far from Durham so could certainly rehome there.

Oh tell me about Torties - my Katie is the same!

Well i've heard back from Motherhen who says that Molly could possibly be an indoor cat etc and i've sent a few other requests to rescues and so i'll see what they say. Then i'll pass on all the details to Emma and she can have a pootle through and contact people to have a chat with them and decide what's best for the cats (and her!)

Its no part from Tia, she's a lovely cat I brought here as a stray about 4 months ago. Its the naughty Lyla- she is a tortie after all  :innocent:

Tia does get along with my boys tho and I feel she is more comfortable around males. Just her and Lyla having the occasional spat which is making Lyla nervous, which is not nice to see.

And I really feel Tia needs to get the attention she deserves  :)

Hey hun,

I'm sorry to hear that your cats aren't getting on - it's such a stress when that happens!

I think she's near Langley Moor but i'd have to check and report back!

I have Tia here, although Im not sure about her being rehomed but her and Lyla still arn't getting on :shy:

I would be happy (I think) for Tia to go to a new home if it was the right one for her  :) She's a lovely cat but I dont feel she has come into her own with all my others here, she loves attention but I dont feel that she likes to ask for it when my others are about  :shy:

Which part of Durham is your friend in?

Hey,

On behalf of a friend, she's looking to adopt a big softie lapcat for her indoor home (she lives near a busy road!) We at Adel have indoor cats in care, but it's a bit too far to transport ours.

It's just her on her own and she's not had cats before and so is really looking for a 'first time' cat (ie not a swiper or biter) and doesn't mind if it's disabled (in fact she's blind in one eye herself so one with one eye would be perfect!!!) I think being a first time cat she's like it to be not too old, but I think she's more bothered about temperament than colat length and colour!

I've had a quick pootle on the catchat pages but nothing sprung out at me as needing an indoor home.
