Great - yes they will be useful for when we take him for his first appointment.

Anyone know what the injury is called (broken pelvis) ie the medical term for it, as they will ask when I insure him if he's had any previous medical treatments?

I don't think it has a special name ... just fractured / broken pelvis.

Tell her she is a star - I just love people who are passionate about what they do, and stick to their guns for what they believe in.

I second that.  Its obvious that 'Buster' has had some pretty fine care to be such a well adjusted and trusting soul after all he's been through. I had a phonecall from Linda (I think that was her name) last night who had been fostering him, who was desperate to know how his journey had gone. She too was over the moon when I told her how well he has settled in.  There have obviously been a lot of very dedicated people involved in his care (she did say she was his second fosterer) so I think they all deserve a huge pat on the back.
Nicky mentioned his X-rays which are still at the vets so she couldn't send them down with him yesterday but she said she will post them on.  I'm sure his new vet will appreciate having them.

Ooh JackSpratt, which video did you show her?

Also, did she say anything about if he requires any special care, or anything else we need to know about? Did he have his injections while at the vets, and is he deflead/dewormed? We are going to register him at our vets soon(ish) to have him microchipped etc too.

He is doing brilliant - right now hunching down ready to attack my fingers as I type this  :Luv:

Just got back from my brothers who i had to visit after dropping buster to sally. Couldnt wait to come home and check how he was doing. He is a wonderful cat not fazed at all, even by the noise of my five kids in the car too. Mind you i did explain his situation to them before i picked him up and told them they had to be quiet and they were i couldnt believe it, so any time im going on a long trip in the car with the kids i think i am gonna have to cover a cat carrier with a towel and pretend theres a sick cat in it.
He is such a lovely cat im sure he will settle fine in his new home. And im so glad i was able to help.

fab idea  :evillaugh:

Thanks to everyone involved in this - this would NOT have been possible without you.

Considering he has been travelling since 9.30am he is doing so well, he is a little trooped indeed and I am so amazed at how well he has settled in so far.

What can I say? Huge thank you's aren't enough! This means so much to us. xxx

I've just got home from my weekend away and am really thrilled to see that it has all come together and that Buster should be in his new home soon!  Just a shame I never got to meet him (ironically it would have been a smooth train journey for him on Friday as well as the train only had about 10 people on it - and it was a long cross country train!!!).

Well done everyone who was able to help him get to his new home and for all the offers of help that weren't needed!

Just got back home after a white knuckle ride through Staffordshire where its almost white-out conditions due not to snow, but to freezing rain  :scared:  Buster is a star - I'm in  :Luv2:  Not a peep out of himn the whole way but he was very responsive when spoken to.  Tigerbaby - you'll never replace Jameson but I'm sure it won't be long before Buster carves a place in your heart.
