Oh Gillian - shame on you for forgetting the prawns!  I'm glad she's home and it all went well.

She's a bit quiet tonight - shame, I enjoyed seeing her bouncing of the walls LOL!  :evillaugh: And, she didnt eat the duck breast I got specially (to make up for forgetting the prawns!) - she got a plate of turkey mince with some lovely slivers of duck breast, hoovered down the turkey mince and sniffed suspiciously at the duck breast, walked off and left it - I ask you....!

Well she has to punish you for forgetting those prawns, doesn't she?!

She sounds great, its amazing how robust they are  ;D

The GAs these days are v.good, she would only have been under a few minutes too  :wow:
When i had george neutered it took him a good 24hrs to recover (and i mean be able to stand up!!) i changed vets and later found out the place i started off with still use iron age GAs  >:(
Often pets dont make it through routine ops with them, so i could have easily lost George 2 years earlier than nature intended   :(

Really glad to hear Gwynnie's home safe and sound again.  How on earth could you forget her prawns, Gillian?  What kind of a mum are you!  Ollie says he is going to get the cat grape vine to tell her what she missed

When my first foster was spayed, she managed to get the collar off and climb the wardrobe the evening she came back - I had tried to stop her jumping!! And when KAz was spayed, she was more hyper after than she was before!

Awwww bless her  :Luv2:

After the boys had the snipn'chip Guinness bounced off the walls and ran riot (usual for him  :evillaugh: ) Widget took over 3 days to get anywhere near back to normal  :scared: Strange how the anaesthic affects some and not others.

Gwynnie - MUM FORGOT YOUR PRAWNS!!!!!!!  :naughty: however Auntie Ellie has some  :sneaky:

Really forgot prawns for the princess Gwynnie??  Oh my dear, that's unbelievable, shame on you!!

tut tut  :no no:  :evillaugh:

Hangs head in shame  :sneakin: - anyway she doesnt know she missed out on prawns!  :evillaugh:

Glad she is fine - it is amazing how well they bounce back after ops.

It surprised me Des - the last time one of mine was spayed was 10 yrs or so ago - and I remember her being really groggy after the op, still really sleepy, and not wanting to move around much - think the anaesthics are different these days?

How is the gorgeous Gywnnie today Gillian?  :)

Not quite bouncing of the walls today LOL! but she's fine, been licking her stitches  :sigh:

:thanks: again everyone!

She didnt get the prawns after all - I walked all round Sainsburys because I had some other things to get as well, but was so focused on singing to myself 'Shes coming home, she's coming home, Gwynnie's coming home' that I forgot the blinkin prawns LOL!  Anyway, she had a large plate of turkey mince instead!

She's calmed down a bit now - think she was a high as a kite earlier  :evillaugh:

Glad Gwynnie's gotten through her op OK, Gillian!  ;D Please give her a cuddle on my behalf.  :blow kiss:

Back to a comment earlier in the thread, if you're not comfortable about showing her, then there's nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't show the Tobster as he'd leave a trail of shredded judges and stewards in his wake...  :Nooooo:

Pearl is quite happy at being shown (as many of her Aunties know) but she WILL growl at cats she takes a dislike to - at her last show, she gave the ginger boy penned next to her a right old what to...  :notlisten: She's not quite the angel she looks...  :evillaugh:

I can't believe her! - she's dashing around like she's never had a major op - jumping on poor old Joe, chasing Honey, up onto the dining room table, down again, out the patio doors (doors open - pretty mild here today!) runs round the side of the house, only to come back in through the cat flap in the back door, then back out the patio doors again! Up the stairs, leaps on the bed, back down the stairs, out the patio doors.....................!  :wow:

She's also following me around and flinging herself on her back in front of my feet, she's gonna trip me up soon I know it LOL!

Here she is, just home - hopped out the cat basket and immediately went round greeting all the others with her little tail up in the air - so pleased to be home and telling everyone what a brave girl she's been! Seems very perky, not too wobbly. I'm really proud of her, she was a little bit scared this morning on the journey and waiting to be booked in (hid under her vetbed!),  but not panicky at all, clever girl!  :Luv2:

Oh, and she's had the op on the flank - oh well, never mind.....

Aha, was just going to post! Thanks for asking  :thanks: - yes she's had her op and is fine apparently. I can pick her up at 4.30, sooner than I was expecting, so I cancelled an appointment I had - she's much more important LOL!  ;D

We have one of those, it has been very helpful so far. For some cats, I prefer front openers, I can 'herd' them in then, but others I have only been able to use the top opener for.
