Good news Melody`s kitten Marmite went off to her new home which she will share with Harry a former Paws Inn resident of 3 years ago. Shortly afterwards Hannibal Lektacat went off to his new home where he will be an only pampered puss.
A very busy morning with Bonnys kittens, they have grown and became too big for their collapsible Pen, we are so full we have nowhere to move them onto ,and so our only option was to make one giant pen from two smaller ones, Rob worked really hard and soon our muckspots had double the space and were so happy with the new arrangements; Claire took loads of pictures and we sat for ages watching our kittenvision, it was wonderful.

Sorry to hear the pain is making it a bit difficult for you to do all you want to. You still do such an amazing job despite everything against you...its really admirable :)

I know you hate hearing things like that T but its true...your a superwoman!

Lots of love to all at The Inn

P.S. I'm glad some of the Innmates are earning their keep by helping you bake ;)

Now I know that I really am a stupid blind old boot  of course it is a banana.I plucked up courage and took the BANANA that looks like a cigar  out to Bonny who is currently very busy playing with her Purringo winnings  :thanks: Aunty Tannikins  heres some pics. I think you will all agree she is looking much better and putting on much needed weight.
Now Aunty Helen head boshing is not my style so this morning I decided to give the 6 wee muckspots their first ever baking lesson and very good they are, in fact they have worked so hard they have gone into their pen to rest  leaving me the ardous task of sampling the goodies  We have made a giant tray bake Bakewell tart and a Grannys magic sponge cake( Victoria sponge), both still in the oven;the 12 fairy cakes are still being sampled I was not sure whether to mark them 11 out of 10 after eating the first one so am now eating no 2  superb.

I wish i could help take the pain away for you     Is there any rub in meds that you could use hun that might help?

Ah Helen i reckon T didn't use the boshing on head technique then!  :evillaugh:

lol T  Now would i really send a cigar to a somone who marvelously has given up the nasty weed.  :evillaugh: Ok ya right i i would be that cheeky as long it aint a real one!  :evillaugh:  I think it was a narna i sent to Bonny  :yayyy: but i have to admit our lounge does Stinky poo of very strong catnip with the stock cupboard open so i could easily popped a cigar in the envelope instead  :-:

Hope she loikes it when Claire has the courage to pop it in with her  :evillaugh:

Love to all at the Inn

Glad all feline residents are doing well, shame you can't share some of their boundless energy!

As for the drinking straw, you're obviously doing it wrong  :evillaugh: Did you try flicking it like you would flick the ash off a cigarette and then boshing them on the head with it before throwing it loftily through the air?  :naughty:

Afraid this joint pain is not nice psoriatic arthritis, can have meds for 2 months because blood has to be monitored weekly because of other drugs I am on and then when I get the drugs they could take 12 weeks to take effect.
The swelling is unbelievable and the pain terrible, I kneel down to attend to kittens and then cant get up, have even got stuck in the bath, I have a load of steroids and am so tempted to take them but darent. Oh well good job theres always kitten poop to take my mind off things
Bonnys Purringo toy arrived today  :thanks: Tan, it knocked me on my back it was so potent, fancy sending a cigar to a non smoker
The Lu and Riley straw was total waste of time, Rob began building kittens little post last night and hes still not finished it, I cant moan he does all the mucking out apart from the 6 muckspots  Hopefully it will be done before morning.

Lil Scruff
you are long overdue a visit with big pockets.

So far so good after all the vaccinations but I desperately need something for my joints; those 6 little monsters in the kitchen decided to climb the rubbish bag while I was cleaning out their Pen, I was already struggling with pain trying to get up off my knees and then across the kitchen I spotted the solution to all my problems Helen`s Lu and Riley, O joy all I needed to do was beat the pain barrier and soon the boys would sort out my naughty muckspots. Well I used the cooker to help get myself up, tripped on the fallen kitchen roll which has now become too boring to be used as a toy but made it across the kitchen just as muckspots were emptying binbag on my floor, so I grabbed my prize and threw it to them, no not Lu and Riley the useless drinking straw  Muckspots finally back in Pen enjoying their beauty sleep while I am discovering more and more about old age. Final score Muckspots 6 human 0

Modified to say my "Harrods" outing, 20 x 30litres of cat litter, 200 bin bags, ruck of catfood no wonder I am done for before my time

Haven't been on this thread for a few days due to being worked like a slave this week....guess it's more money to lavish on my puds though.

I am so, so pleased that beautiful Melody is deemed to be fitter now. She is such a stunner and has been through an awful lot. I bet you're delighted at her progress too T. Also great to hear that you yourself have been strong enough to go for a little jaunt out to the wholesalers. I guess it's not exactly Harrods but I know that a littlle trip out anywhere can be enjoyable when you've been stuck in for days.

So has interest in rehoming dried up for now? Or is it just that 'unsuitable' people are enquiring? I sincerely hope that interest hasn't waned just because the kids have gone back to school.

Super pics of your little smasher there DaisyMac. What a handsome little whopper he is!

Andy vet is really pleased with all the inmates, he even laughed as the 6 muckspots in kitchen tore round like lunatics, I think he enjoyed seeing them as they are in the muck  Melody has at last been pronounced fit to spay and has been given her first vaccination, in all another 13 were vaccinated. Annabel been examined again and we have been told if no babies then caesarian Monday I am convinced she is waiting for 25th Sept, hope thats all it is. Sophie has been checked over as I was worried that she is not quite as attentive to her babies as she might be but vet said all is fine and we have 4 boys and 3 girls so I can now think of something rediculous to call them.
Flew over to Manchester to cash/carry for more litter etc so been quite a busy day. It is good to have a pleasant vet visit, hopefully all will be well tomorrow with no unpleasant reactions.Strange in rescue when everything is ok you worry about what will hit you next
Must confess we bought a teeny scratching post for the 6 muckspots.

Nothing of interest to report this morning; all adult cats have paws polished and claws sharpened ready for vet inspection later. The kittens in the outside Pens are oblivious to the fact its needle time, while the 6 dirty monkeys in kitchen are their usual mucky selves. Will also be checking on Annabels buns, they must be overdone so are bound to be black if she ever gives birth, she had a scan a week ago which told us she was almost ready, so hoping she wont be another tin opener jobby.
Well thats it for now maybe we will have something of interest to say after vet has been.
