R.I.P Andrew.  :(

Olly sounds like a little cutie, you describe things so well Teresa, I was picturing him as I was reading.
Hope the people getting shown around are chosen by a deserving kitty or 2.

Wordy says did Winston get his Turkey? If so can he come and live with you all? He had to make do with stealing some sausage. Poor boy never gets fed!!!

Well Olly has finally done it,that is taken command and lived up to his title Purrmaster General, (for those who didnt know he had asked for Busters old position of president just after Busters death and we declined). Anyway yesterday Debbie was showing some people around and Ollie was stalking them, they went into the first block and Olly jumped up onto our patio table peeping in at them and rolling about hoping to get an audience other than me, Debbie took the people down to the summerhouse and before you know it our Ollie meccano cat was on the roof peering down at them.I sat laughing as I imagined him shouting "oi wot ya doin down there, I`m in charge here, just look up and fuss me" it seemed no one had noticed him because they were too busy admiring other cats so what does our intrepid hero do next, he moves to edge of roof and leans over and gets his paw and begins tapping "I say I say look at me, dont be rude I am boss cat" When people had finished Olly leapt from the roof in pure Supercat style and escorted them up the garden and into the house
Now the late great Buster always assumed command and greeted everyone in a wonderful friendly manner. I guess Olly is finally taking proper charge of things, so very funny to watch but Buster he isnt

Sad news Aunty T but he had everyone at the Inn and his own humans to love him more than some have and I do remember the poop in question

It is so true you never know how long they have and all they ask is we love them and keep then safe for however long they grace our lives, some for a fleeting moment others for many years but all who are lucky enough to have you Aunty T and loving owners are the lucky ones

I know looking at the rejects we have here who aren't for a normal family home or in some cases any home most wouldn't be alive today here they are loved and wanted even if they love us in their own hissy way and for that I am greatful we keep them safe and happy and pander to their every whim and let them be all they can be

Friday 13th without doubt was terrible.

Older members will no doubt remember Wee Andy the lad whose feral mum beat him up after killing his siblings and at just days old he developed pneumonia, well we took him away from mum and handreared him by some miracle he survived. Somewhere in the archives is a picture of the biggest poop ever done by a tiny kitten  this was Andys. Andy was Busters last charge before he went into retirement and handed the reins over to Minimopsical, such happy days.
Just before Christmas Ann got in touch to say that  Andrew (the name he was given) was in the vet on a drip, somehow he rallied round and was home for Christmas, Andrew went down and was admitted and put ondrips twice, his kidneys had given up and then finally his insides ulcerated and nothing could be done but let him go so Ann and Chris were with him on Friday afternoon as he left this world aged just 5 and a half. Andrew was a hunter and we suspect he had ingested a poisoned mouse.
Anyway Ann came round yesterday morning to tell me and we spent hours crying together and remembering his giant poop, poor Ann I so feel her sadness Andrew was a very special boy with a huge heart, because he had been handreared he continued to wrap himself lovingly round her neck right to the end. Ann has 2 other cats from me Russell age 16 who is in the finally stages of kidney failure and Douglas(formerly norman Wisdom) aged 1 year plus. I know they are missing him too.

Still no news of Megans biopsy and thats hurting too.

I am going to buy Winston some turkey today, you never know just how long they have.

The deep scratch on my little finger that Winston administered yesterday when I put him back in his cage confirms his thuggery.  :-:

He is due his 2nd vaccination next week, will ask Andy to use a blunt rusty needle :evillaugh: he is currently sitting next to me like butter wouldnt melt, I have even had finger licked.

When she saw evidence of my former Paws Inn cats stealing bread Teresa was anxious to point out that it was not Paws Inn behaviour.  Really???   Here is a pic I took of Wilbur at Paws Inn yesterday.  :evillaugh:

OK I confess we have been sussed, we have to feed the cats scraps of bread and water as times are very hard and Winstons turkey has been costing an arm and leg

Wordy
I have decided that Winston will receive no more turkey or treats as he has become a THUG,yes truly this little boy broke my heart because he had suffered so much, he became a purry little love and we showered him with everything good,in return he no longer wants us to pick him up though he is currently sat next to me sniffing laptop  he is becoming more dominant each day and I can do without that.
Yesterday we brought Big H and Wilbur into living room to play with Winston as a special treat,Winston wanted to play with Big H but not Wilbur. Aunty Carol brought some of her wonderful bread that Biggles and Bunty steal and she tried so hard to teach my cats to steal bread and coffee   in truth a crust of bread was stolen and much growling ensued until the butter was licked off then said crust was disgarded.  Paws Inn cats are so well mannered
Still no news of Megans biopsy.
All cats happy and well

Sorry you had such a bad day, hope things improve for you all.

Wordy seems to have accepted there is no more Turkey and has a new favourite of Pate!!! He pushed the ramekin of pate  off the kitchen worktop, and dragged it into the hallway, he was trying to eat it through the sandwich bag that I had it in. It was destined for the kitchen bin, not the Wordy bin.

You had better put Turkey slices on you shopping list for the foreseable future, for poor starved Winston.  :)

Oh Teresa.      A rough day indeed.   Poor Megan, bless her heart.  Am glad that she at least can stay with you, but having to remove the chip instead of being able to change the details - truly madness.

Sending lots of positive thoughts for Ethel - she'll need them, by all accounts, but as has been said - you can't save them all, T.

Glad Winston still has the right perspective on life.   ;)

Oh T - what a day.   I take it you were right in your belief that Megan is already spayed then.  You just knew the finders were mistaken in thinking she belonged to the travellers didn't you.

No turkey left for Winston - Bunty and Biggles ate the last of it this morning and judging by their reaction they are as fond of it as he is.

Its been an awful day, Megan went into vets this morning for mouth biopsy, we wont have results for couple of days at least. Megan is the poor girl who was repeatedly put in the dustbin, anyway when she went to vet previously Andy was not available and vet aged her at 2 years, today after Felv/Fiv test and biopsy I asked Andy to scan her as something was niggling me, (yes we have and use are own scanner) low and behold vet finds a microchip and suddenly this cat no longer belongs to us, not only that we were not allowed any information, vet later phoned me to say he had contacted address by phone and Megan had been dumped when owner moved house some time ago so suddenly Megan is ours again anyway age 2 years jumped to 9 years on original microchip form, lets just hope her results are ok.Spent 2 hours on phone and internet trying to have microchip changed to us no chance we have to remove it,sheer lunacy.
Hetties 1st anniversary today, who would think you could love and miss a feral so much, she was so very special.
Last night I was forced to take Ethel Nouty Knickers back home after the phonecall from hell, turns out she had an owner, the least said the better as I find myself becoming more disgusted with the human race each day.
GiGi finally went to her new home this morning so a little happiness.

Baby Bea is clearly from the Paws Inn school of big cats. ;D  I've posted a pic on Alison's thread of Bunty in a box and compared it with one of Penny in the same box at a similar age and Bunty is far bigger.  Then there's DaisyMac's Kenny and others I can't just think of at the moment.

Ethel Nouty Knickers was positively evil when Rob tried to clean her Pen this morning, guess she would prefer somewhere more private, maybe she shouldnt have been such a flusey and kept away from the Toms  going to worm her later maybe she will give birth to can of worms and settle down

Thanks for the pictures Carol.
Well poor Debbie has had a busy afternoon which involved a fair bit of pen scrubbing and juggling to fit in the latest arrival approx
8-9months old pure black and appears to be pregnant, this we could well do without. We were lucky not to have lost our hands attempting to get madam Nouty Knickers from the carrier into the Pen and the sound effects from her were better than those heard on a horror movie and no were werent doing anything to hurt or distress her, madam just hates other cats  Henceforth she will be known as Ethel nouty knickers,I pity anyone who tries to get near this cannibal lectar of cats, apart from all that she is lovely  or will be one day
Anastasia is glad to be home now and much happier.
I said Megan the bin cat had a couple of problems but didnt say what, anyway on Tuesday she will be having mouth biopsy as she has a lump under her tongue, will also get her spay at same time.
Winston has asked for me to post an appeal for TURKEY
All else fine and GiGi finally going to her new home on Tuesday.

This is my final attempt before I scream and throw the lappy through the window.  I've managed to post a pic on another thread so don't see why this one shouldn't work.  I'll try doing it one pic at a time.

I was trying to get pictures of Big H and Wilbur (Holy terrors) to show off their beautiful orangish eyes and healthy coats for the Paws Inn website but I didn't really succeed.    I am improving though (or they're getting slower) because there are a couple of partial faces among my usual collection of bums and tails.  I have difficulty telling Big H and Wilbur apart now which is so heartwarming when you think that on arrival at Paws Inn Wilbur was so poorly that T had to plead with the vet to give him a chance.
