Who is Lynn?  Nikki how old is the kitty you are getting.

Lynn run's team  cat rescue in Birmingham UK. Not sure yet, I have been to the shelter and wanted to take them all home!  :Luv:

Just waiting for some kitten's to be picked up too so not sure untill later.

I came out of the shelter looking like a walking hairball. I  had to stop and fuss all the cats.  ;)

I've just had a call from Steve's mom and I think she might be having a couple of too. I think she will go for the older one's which is good!

I shall keep you all posted!

Hi Niki:

Thank you for your kind words. I hope your older cats stay as healthy as possible. It has been rough about my cats, but I am tying. Dusty is great. But I watch every move he makes because I get so nerveous.

I hope you get to be cat parents again. let me know how it goes
Good Luck

Hi I'm Nikki, I'm sorry to hear about your sad loss. I have two really old cat's at my moms, Ackle is starting to go blind, we keep going to have him checked at the vets to make sure he's ok.

Myself and my partner steve are waiting for a home visit and Lynn is coming to see us on Sunday, so hopefully we shall be becoming cat parents again very soon. I am also trilled to be able to assist them with their fundraising. I'm sure it's going to be fun.

You make sure you get loads of cuddles off Dusty too xx

I am sorry to here about clive. It is 5mos from BUBBA and almost a  month from Momma. My heart is still hurting. But I just focus on my Dusty. I  sure all of our little ones are playing together on that bridge.  I just miss them so much as I know you all miss yours as well.

They are probably getting a good chuckle on the bridge at each other

Welcome aboard! its lovely to have you and we all know how you feel, you will never get told, "its just a cat" from anyone on this site as so often happens from people who dont understand, :tired:

Ive lost loads of cats in my not very long life as mum mom is a bit of a cat nut too, weve taken in lots and inevitably had to end their lives at some point, weather to a road accident or a terminal illness.
the youngest cat i lost about 8 years ago was only 9 months old,  Clive had leukemia and cat aids, born that way i was told, but more is known now and treatments are better,Clivie had a really weak immune system and was quite poorly in the last few weeks of his little life, so we did the last, best thing we could, had the vet come and send him to heaven so maybe hes on rainbow bridge with your babies, if he is he will be driving them mad with his playfull ness as he was a very bouncy cat!

i hope you find peace soon and remember the good times, the way your cats would want you to and people are always available for a chat on here!
take care xx

Thank You for welcoming me. Everyone who responded to me seems wonderful so far.

It is hard sometimes when people dont get why your heart hurts so much. I hate to hear well when you adopt an animal you know one day the time will come.
Really i dont think of that when I adopt an animal. I never think of that.

I really appreciate everyone sending their kind words.

And thank yo ufor being here for me

Hi and  :welcome: to PURRS, sorry it's under such a Sad circumstance and I'm Very Sorry for Your Loss  :'(
But Remember, they never Really go away, and They will always be in You Heart Forever  :Luv:

I Discovered PURRS a very similar way that you did, My Hamish was unwell  :( and I just wanted to talk to
People who felt the same about their Furbabes, Yes, Friend's and Family are sympathetic and understanding!
but sadly, thats about as far as it goes (they dont really understand) Loosing your Furbabe that You've Loved,
Fed, and Cared for, for so many Years, You also Need Support, And on PURRS is where I found Mine!!

I hope it will be the same for You :) It is very Hard to begin with and it does take time :'(
but we are all here for You, if you need us :)

Misty and Stuart

If tears could build a stairway
and memories were a lane
We’d walk right up to heaven
And bring you back again.

Our hearts still ache in sadness
and secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know.

But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store.

Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A cherished place within our heart
Is where you'll always stay.
Dad to Bridge babes Hamish, Misty, Olivia and Robbie :'(

Hello.   :hi:  Welcome to purrs, and thanks for sharing with us the stories of your beautiful cat companions.  Am very sorry about Bubba and Momma, and you and Dusty will miss them both very much.  Dusty sounds gorgeous, bless him with his little Tiger friend.  I hope, given time, that you will think about Momma and Bubba and smile again at all the happy memories you have of them.  They're all very special, our animals. They have the ability to touch us  all in ways we never conceive of.  That's their gift to us.     Hope you enjoy the forum.

But I would love to hear stories or read stories about eveyones little furbabies.

All you have to do is wander  around Purrs and you will find where everything is and there are loads of lovely stories and pictures.

Try hitting the HOME buttom at top left above where posts are and you will get up all the boards and under some of them are the child boards too.

Just pop in and out and see what we all about, also try some of the other buttons by HOME cos some may surprise  ;D

Another way to keep up to date is to go into All Unread Posts which is at the top left by your name and under the Purrs Banner.

Also try clicking on our mascot on top right and Minimopsicals story will be there and that is one to warm the heart  ;D

Hello and  :welcome: to Purrs,

So very sorry to hear about Momma and Bubba ... we all understand the heartache and sadness that comes with losing a special furry friend   Although the pain never goes away it does get easier to live with in time.

Take full advantage of Dusty and let him comfort you as much as you will have to comfort him ... cats as you no doubt know are very good listeners and cat fur is very good at soaking up tears  ;)

As Gill says Momma and Bubba will be together at the Rainbow bridge and will always be with you in your heart.

RIB little ones xxxx

Hello all: I am new to this site. I had to find a cat site that I can vent and express my sadness. I had a cat named momma for 12 years. Her face was swollen and bleeding from her mouth. So we took her to the vet only to find out she had cancer. I tried so hard to  keep her going, but it broke my heart to see how different she became. She did not eat drink nothing. I gave her medicine to so she would get an appetite, it worked but not for long. I had to put her doown 3 days ago. Well let me say my heart is broken. Just broken.
And back in July I found my other cat had passed away. I found my Bubba myself.
Thank god for my black cat named Dusty. He makes me smile everyday
I just need to hear from people who love their animals as much as I do.

I Love you Momma, my heart hurts for you
Thank you for reading
