Sasa says fine, she will come .....................anything to get away from Franta..................but has to wait for the red currant to come back from the garage all repaired  ;D

She also says,

Hi Paddy, I am not shy but that Franta is a bad boy and he put his paws and nose in my fur and thats just not on and he sits their like a blue-eyed monster just waiting for me to turn my back on him and thats is not good for us lady cats, as I am sure Miss Lexy would tell you. I am sure you wouldnt do anything like that Paddy, now would you?  ;D

I also look forward to meeting Lexy cos she sounds a lady I would understand  ;D

Paddy can't get on the pooter this morning, but he's glad his Faberlush Miss Lexy is getting sorted out.  And he says he doesn't think his beeeyyyoootiful lady needs to lose anything, and he likes her just the way she is.   :ok:  :blow kiss: :blow kiss:  Oh and he also says that Franta is misunderstood by the shy Lady Sasa.

Nah Gill, send Sasa round instead  ;)

Lynn, yes the food she's eating is good for struvite. Vet did think it might be oxalate since she had no crystals, but it turns out that it was struvite which is why we want to monitor. So madam is on a wet rich diet of the RC Urinary S/O... I still get glares but she does eat it as she knows she's not getting anything else  :naughty:

Thats great news ruth, Struvite in general is more common  but i think oxylates were more common for females.  Does she need  a different type of urinary food now then ? or will that one do for either or crystal type, used to be various types of food for different types of stones.

Update from the vet: Caroline called me on the way home today to say that the results of the tests on the two stones were in and they are struvite, not oxalate.

So from one perspective its good we know what to look for.

She needs to be on predominantly wet food going forward, we'll just have to do her teeth for scale and polish once very couple years.

Lexy will have her next x-ray in April when she does her annual MOT, so I'll take her in for that, and then as a precaution we'll do the same x-ray every 6 months for 2-3 years just to make sure that she's really clear. This way we can be sure no more stones are forming.

But for now, we're sticking to the Urinary food, which madam has finally decided is worth her time, with the odd chicken or duck dome she loves.

Overall, Lexy has done well after the surgery, she's much livelier than before the surgery and she's now going to be on a bit of reduced food so she can lose some of the pooch on her belly.  :Luv:

Montague, Capulet - where be these enemies now?  Punished - all are punished  [said in best Richard Burton voiceover....]

or

Where be these enemies? Capulet! Montague!
See, what a scourge is laid upon your hate,
That heaven finds means to kill your joys with love.
And I for winking at your discords too
Have lost a brace of kinsmen: all are punish'd.

Lexy is better this morning but her wound is a bit red and she keeps grooming herself so not a great sign, tummy is getting a little better.

What a horrible day.  I hope Paddy starts to feel better. Lexy wants him to know she's dreaming of their bicyclies.  :Luv2:

Yup - me too Ruth.  Hope Paddy's little Princess is feeling better this morning.

Paddy sends his love of course, but he's not great either.  He wouldn't eat at all again yesterday and was being sick.  Not really interested in anything this morning when I left home.  Have told Tess she's gotta keep her eye out for her little bro.

 :Sad Bye:

Some one had a sort of so so night, a wet tummy this morning and then a good day. But she's been cleaning herself more than normal so I'm hoping its not a recurring infection. She's been so good.

Paddy.. Lexy will write again tomorrow. She's "seeping" now. But she whispered that if Paddy comes calling, she'll wake up pronto  ;)

Caroline thinks its the meds that caused it and to call her tomorrow if her tummy is still runny tomorrow.  I was up at 5am since Madam decided it was time to wake me up by hacking up a furrball. I was dreaming that my carpet didn't need to be washed
