We've just had an update on Jerome:

"...he has gone from strength to strength. She rang the other night to say he sits on everyone who visits knee, sleeps with her every night and all her friends want one just like him. Not bad for a longterm unhomeable."

Don’t it make your heart glow!!????? :Luv:

Catchat received this feedback today from the rescues that rehomed Jerome/Gerome (Kirkby Cats Home & Burton Joyce Cat Welfare):

“Gerome was delivered and has settled in straight away, apparently the moment we left he jumped on his new owners knee and stayed there all evening; she's delighted with him. Not bad for the spitty stray everyone passed by, if only all those people knew what they'd passed over.”

   :rofl:Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!

Jerome has been homed at last!!! so it's party time for me tonight  :drink:

Poor Jerome had been waiting for ages & the rescue caring for him asked Catchat to feature him on their Top Cats Page & bingo! He was on the Catchat home page for less than 24 hours & found a home.

A big well done to Kirkby Cats Home & Burton Joyce Cat Welfare for caring for Jerome, & for Cat Chat & their Top Cats page for telling us all about the poor chap's situation.

I forgot to tell you...we got his name wrong :shy: it's Gerome with a G not a J :wow:

I think it was the 'J' that did the trick!!!

Want some GREAT news!!!!!!

 ;D JEROME HAS A HOME!!!!!   ;D
He was only on the Top Cats page one single day, and, well.... we just got an email from the rescue today to say he was seen on Top Cats by someone who'd rescued from them before.  He is going to his new pad on Saturday, and they have promised him a wonderful Christmas!!!

And not only that, they had a second person wanting Jerome because of top cats - and they're now looking at some of the other oldies, so maybe another cat will get lucky too, how cool is that?

Hey... CatCampbell.... you can get the tissues out again matey, only happy tears this time!

love from
Pickford

Jerome - his sad tale made me cry!
« Reply #1 on: December 05, 2006, 18:36:26 PM »
Hi to everyone - I havn't posted for a few days because I've been laid up with a heavy cold. This afternoon I got an email from Catchat telling me to check out a homeless cat called Jerome on the Top Cats page. The email warned me to have my box of tissues ready. I went & checked out Jerome & sure enough within minutes I was in floods of tears. I don't know if the cold has left me emotionally vulnerable but my heart just went out to this poor chap :(

Please take a look. The page's address is http://www.catchat.org/topcats2.html#jerome_kirkby
