Christine
Thank you for sorting that out for me the phone has been more bearable the last couple of days and even though I am still worn to a frazzle I feel less desperate than I did when I began this thread and of course Claire was a wonderful help yesterday.
Still struggling to fit everything in that needs doing but managed to cook a meal and eat it today.

Purrs was claimed by her owner today, I have a feeling she will end up going missing again ;)

I hope your actions work Christine, I think the other rescues need to be told what the situation is like.

I hope so too, Desley.  I am sure my message has been understood.  :innocent:

The third rescue rang me today and suggested a different branch (the very nice lady I spoke to had never heard of Paws Inn) so I will call them too.

My OH says this story is rubbish but......

My old Flatmate Alan was talking to an American tourist in the pub. The man asked where he was from. He said "Scotland" - The Man said - "Yes I have heard of Scotlandshire"  :evillaugh:

  my Welsh friend once told someone on the internet (from the states) that Wales was a small state near Texas and the person was saying "Oh yes, I think I have heard of it"

Oh and I remember way back when I first got the net, I spoke to someone American online who said "Oh, you're English, you might know my friend John"
England might be small but its not THAT small

I would just like to add, after reading this topic, that you cat rescues are GREAT and i ADMIRE that!!
i can understand it is very hard caring for so many cats and kittens, as our 3 is enough, although i'd take in alot more if i could, due to still living with my mum, she's decided enough is 3, but when i eventually get my own place, i will be taking in a few more cats... everyone says i'll be the cat woman sooner or later, seeing cats in such poor conditions, and left alone, with out an owner/family makes me feel very upset and sorry for them, but what you rescues do is give them that tender love and care they so much long for...i just hope you realise that what you do is amazing, and i realise you have to say no at one point, as enough is enough, but remember the cats you have in your care are very happy to be so

Just to update everyone, I have today spoken to two of the three neighbouring rescue organisations and left a message for the third.

The compassion of people on here, rallying round to support Paws Inn in its hour of need, is humbling  but please, if you havent already, keep the help going as things are pretty desperate there.

 :thanks:

Now I know Scotlandshire doesn't exist.

Just don't ask me to pronounce Glasgow, I got laughed at.

I was driving the bus over through Victoria towards Hyde Park and Marble Arch once, and an American Tourist asked me if I stopped at Caeravon Castle...

I'm a big fan of black cats - I can't understand why they're overlooked so often.

Its because you’re more prone to trip on them ;) Well, my theory anyway.

And can I just say how adorable Sherbet is (yes I’ve been rereading the new paws inn website).

Where is weaverham again?  :car:
