Cats don't come when they are called,
They take a message and get back to you later.

Unfortunately I've had some very sad news about Arthur today. Barbara had a call from a vet who had seen her poster and they had a report of a white cat lying dead at the side of the road. Unfortunately they didn't think to take the cat to the vet so we can't know for certain but as there aren't many pure white cats around and because of the timing and place where he was seen it seems 99.9% certain that poor Arthur has been killed by a car. Sadly Barbara isn't able to have Arthur back with her as we don't know what happened to the poor thing after this person called the vet but at least she knows what has happened to him.

Arthur was a very special boy and we will all miss him - RIP darling go have fun with your brother Sam on the bridge.

This is the day she came to do my homecheck, hope he is ok and returns soon :)
Cats are like little bundles of razor blades wrapped in soft fur.

Thanks Sam, I've passed the info on to her. I hope she finds him,  he's such a lovely cat. I think she is worried that because he is so friendly someone may have taken him. Fingers crossed he turns up and I'll be sure to let eveyone know if he does.

Anne,

I'm sure you have already passed on the hints and tips but here's the link again just in case.  http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/index.php?topic=4304.0

Advise your friend to get as many posters and flyers out as possible ... when she thinks she has put too many out ... go round again and put more out!

Also check all her neighbours sheds/ outhouses / garages carefully.  DO NOT assume that  Arthur will run out of an open door ... if he is scared he may well hide in the corner and not make any noise.

Good luck and fingers crossed he will turn up soon.

Our homing officer, Barbara, has lost her beloved Arthur who has been missing since Saturday. As you can imagine she is distraught and her other furries are missing their brother. Arthur is an 8 yr old ALL WHITE neutered tom - very very friendly and affectionate - if you call his name he will come with his tail up wanting to be stroked - he can be picked up and cuddled - he loves it! He has been missing since Saturday tea time about 5ish - was when he was last seen on her estate (St Cuthberts Park, Marley Hill).  He does like to get inside cars and vans so it is  possible he has been carried off somewhere. He is microchipped but doesn't wear a collar.

Arthur's picture is here - if anyone sees him please either PM me or ring the Gateshead Cats Protection phone number of 0191 4203180

Thank you
