O.M.G. LYNNE, THAT IS SO PURRFECT, TEARS ARE ROLLING DOWN MY FACE.

I LOVE THE PART ABOUT LUPIN AND THE DIET COKE WAS A BRILL TOUCH ;) ;)

GILL HAD SO MANY KIND AND GENTLE WORDS FOR US WHEN OUR CATS WENT TO 'THE BRIDGE' AND I WILL NEVER KNOW HOW SHE MANAGED TO GET THROUGH SUCH A SAD TIME FOR US ALL

BE HAPPY WITH ALL YOUR 'FURRIES' GILL - GOD BLESS YOU, YOU WONDERFUL LADY

Oh Jeez Lynne - what a fitting - and accurate - tribute for our Gill.  I have a cold hard lump in my throat.

The day before she comes home - on the bridge 25th May 2020

All the cats are gathering
On the puuuuuuurfect day
There is purring and twirling
They know something is happening
Excited meows and purrs
Can be heard from all around
On the day before she arrived

The blue eyed boys gather the kittens
They tell the tales of the lives they led
Of a slave they once had
Never to be forgotten
Memories of love and care
Of adventures and fun
On the day before she came

Cats are all around
They clamber to know when it will be the time
Have we got the diet coke fountain on?
Ready to drink a toast
And quench her thirst when she comes?
It has been a long and tiring journey
On the day before she arrives

Sasa steps up and calls ‘Come Misa – it is time’
The excitement grows and her cat family step up to the gate
Lance scuttles forward and offers the key
This is a special day he says to the gatekeeper
Please give us permission noble cat
The gatekeeper grants, the key turns
On the day before she comes

As the sun goes down
Its a clear sky with only stars and moon
The cats all line the Bridge
And raise their paws together
To celebrate her coming home at last
The gates are open, the light is glowing
On the day she comes home

On the other side of the bridge there comes a terrible howl
Lupin stands his pain like a shard of glass piercing his heart
She turns, her golden halo glowing and looks tenderly at him
You cannot come sweet boy, It’s not your time
Go back, be happy, because you are loved now by me and your new slave
But come back and see me my love
On the night before Christmas.

In memory of and with a little help from Gill.
