What a clever idea, I haven't heard of this before!

The only drawback I can see is that it might keep going off if you have a lot of visiting cats - might birdies set it off too?

Cat doorbell?!

I just found a cat doorbell on Amazon that looks like it might be perfect for us, but was wondering if anyone on here has maybe seen or had one at all?

It looks great, there's a weatherproof sensor unit that you place by the back door on window etc that detects movements when the cat comes back to the door, and then a light and sound 'bell' unit that's portable so you can move it to wherever you are in the house.

We can't fit a flap at the moment, and have been letting his Highness out the back door and just leaving it open for him to come back in when he's ready, but with the cold weather starting to kick in, that's becoming somewhat less practical! If this works, it will save our bacon - and me from freezing in the kitchen!
