Although it can be heartbreaking, I like that it shows that although he is pretty damned fantastic, he is not infallible and like any other vet he has losses too.

my oh hates it as well sue!  doesn't help that the only episode we ever watched had a death just like Amber's  :'(

One of the best things about this program is the high percentage of animals that recover well  ;D

Watching this is my guilty secret as OH hates me watching it.  He gets really upset at all the sick animals, whereas I just find Noel's efforts to help them heartwarming and incredible.
