Yep, that was one of the selling points for me and my partner! We actually had money over there. Going out for a meal is SOOO cheap we went out pretty much every night.

I always get asked if I am from New Zealand......always saying 'Aaagggggg' and 'Yaaaa'.......it is really a beautiful place and I would recommend everyone going there on a holiday - Durban AND Cape Town......a 5* holiday that you will never forget and so affordable on the current exchange rate!!!

Sam, you aren't thick! I didn't know what it meant until I was over there. I especially like the phrase "suss, man!" and use it from time to time without realising it now.

I can see why you'd want to go back there, 4Bobby. I was only over there for three weeks and came back talking about emigrating. It truly is stunning and I loved the little house geckos that ran about everywhere!

suppose the easiest way to describe a braai is a barbeque / barbie.....but with a HUGE difference!!!!

We generally don't cook burger paties or sausages on the open flame.....rather .............fillet / sirloin / ribeye steaks / flatty chickens / boerewors over coals and also mealies and then we roast potatoes in tinfoil and butternuts and onions in the coals served with meilie pap and tomaot bredie (tomato and onion and chilli sauce) the BEST soul food under an African sun!!!!!

My hubby is a great fire maker and has the timing down pact!!!

My old boss lived in durban for over 15 years, had a veterinary practice over there (he lived in other parts on top of that aswell)

Hubby is from Durban....HUGE Sharks supporter!!! It is a magical country and we will hopefully be back in a couple of years time. I love London but there is no place like home!!!! If anyone is keen on a traditional south african braai......come on over and we will knock your socks off!!!!!

Bobby will be having his first injections this week if he has put on enough weight and the vet is aware that he is coming with us to Wales. He will be spending most of the time on my lap or in his carrier so his interaction with other cats will be minimal. I could not bare spending 2 days aways from him

so he is off on his second holiday.......he is gonna be the 8)st cat in London!!

You must be very carefully if you have a cat on your lap when you're watching Rugby - my OH was watching England v France and when we scored - he jumped up forgetting Fearne was on his lap - she has since got her own back by attacking his toes in bed

Aspen is beautiful - long hair - white with black and orange markings....I have never seen a cat with her colours before. George is also a female, all black with a awesome personality. I have some hard photos of them, nothing digital

he feels like my first!!! My kitties in Cape Town are 14 and 6 years. Aspen and George live with my sister in our house in Clovelly.....I missed them soooo much when I moved here - one of the reasons we got Bobby. I have also never had a kitten this young before and had forgotten a lot of the ins and outs of having a new baby!!!

All my previous kitties have been outdoor cats so I'm looking forward to having an indoor kitty to maul all day long!!!

id love an enclosed garden

ours is quite big but we only let the dog go out in it for a wee n that and even then he is supervised as he couldnt be trusted to go out go for a pee and then come bk in without causing grief ,

ur quite right about not allowing dear little bobby out on his own
its not worth the risk

our garden is a tiny postage stamp downstairs off our kitchen - totally enclosed. No grass but big enough for us to have our own little piece of sunshine and our braais. Bobby is not too sure about been outside and he won't be allowed out on his own - we have plenty of foxes in the road and other kitties that might cause him harm!!

Bobby just loves having dad home all day on weekends.....they did some gardening this morning and are settling down for the rugby this afternoon. He loves his carrier and plays in it with his favorite butterfly while mom and dad cook dinner!
