Well I am sat here with a pair of nail scissors and have been attacking Misas matts for over a week cos he wont let me groom him properly and he makes no efforton his back!

If he thinks he is getting a tangle he moves and squirms so you miss that bit and he is too big to fight with esopecially as he wops  and scratches if you go near where he doesnt want.

If he would flaming sit still I could have got the matts cut off over a week ago but I am having to do one snip and then bribe him with treats.

he has just left in disgust again and I was doing really well on the one growing up his spine..........this one did seem to come from nowhere, cos I could run a comb through the fur there and then suddenly I couldnt. Think it doesnt help when he rolls around on his back outside!

oh but gillian..they ALL groomed everyday  :evillaugh:

yeah the matts down to the skin where you have to try and prize off the skin mm by mm to get the clippers to gradually cut them out, caked with oils and dandruff....NICE...NOT !!

not the puss's fault but twas safe to say not my favorite job..give me a pair of knackers to chop off or some fantastic debride and suture anyday LOL.

I would like to think you enjoyed grooming gillian with ... how many persians ??????  :evillaugh:

Bearing in mind most of the ones i had to spend gruelling hours of my time (can you tell how much i resented doing them  LOL) were in a state whereby a ga was needed so groomer out of question,

I do enjoy grooming, but hate having to shave cats coz I like to save the coat if I can - some customer cats have to be shaved though and I can do the placid ones - although some that aint that friendly get passed  over to my vet!  :evillaugh:  It works both ways though, coz sometimes owners think that shaving is all that can be done just for a few tangles - so my vet passes those ones on to me.

I know what you mean about some of the states they let them get into - I've seen some horrendous ones with god knows what stuck in their coats!  and the customer says 'well I groom him every day'! ha

Bearing in mind most of the ones i had to spend gruelling hours of my time (can you tell how much i resented doing them  LOL) were in a state whereby a ga was needed so groomer out of question, we did have a couple who were only comb outs tho but the cats got stressed and required sedating..one lady (whos husband was killed in the piper alpha disaster) was very neurotic to say the least and came in with a4 sheet of paper with full instructions of how many cm's to take off of where and where needed how much of a comb out etc etc.. I used to DREAD seeing her name in the ops list  :evillaugh:

Well do you want me to come down and help with shaving them ALL..i was good at that LOL.  Would rather shave than comb any day  :evillaugh:

Heehee!  :evillaugh: - I'm the opposite - I hate shaving cats, try to avoid it if at all possible with my customers! I did give one of mine a 'teddy bear' cut with the clippers once - she looked quite cool - bit like an Exotic in the end!

and there isnt mulch you can do about it meowmy     :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Like it!

ps i'm sure we havent seen a poppy pic for AGES  ;D

We haven't so I think we deserve at least 4  :Luv:

What are you like, people..?  Are you insinuating that I post too many pics of my little angel..? Hm... Anyway, I took my camera and went into the garden: this is where Poppy is right now. (Alas, Monkey was not in the mood for being photographed, just ran around like a lunatic. His normal behaviour. Poppy is great for taking pictures of, 'cos she hardly ever moves.)

Poppy is just adorable :Luv:

Oh no, what a mischievous boy... He's adorable, though! Good luck getting him all combed out... I thought Poppy was bad enough (NFC) with her feather duster tail. Her favourite spot is the flower bed, preferably when I've just watered it. And of course when she comes inside, she makes sure she distributes the crap all over the house... (So glad I've just got a great new Dyson!)
