Me neither Mary, but I'm savouring each episode as I've watched it.

It seems they're quite sensible, abot the size of the prey they tackle, but we did opnce have a little slinky black and white female who brought home a fair sized young rabbit (unharmed) and of course Flynn brought home an action man with parachute and gripping hands.......  :-:

    Sue I can just imagine that.

On one show I saw a cleptomaniac kitty that would take home anything people left out.  Her owner had to do a yard find to get it all back to the owners.

My cats found various fogs and an Adder once but that's it.  The later was sun bathing in our garden and she lead us to it.  The snake as rehomed up on the health well away from pets and people.

I once bought Bonnie a furry fish about 10" long and she wouldn't go anywhere near it. I guess that was the answer to that. Lots of interesting things to see in these programmes.

I've not watched the third one yet but will get around to it soon.

Caught up with the second one last night.  Was fascinated by the experiment with "catch a rat" - our petsitter Aunty bought one very like that for Ross when we had him - I think he was around 10 weeks old at the time.  He nearly fell through the floor!  He was aghast.   :-:  Moray and Tinks were more blase, and occasionally it gets a good bunny-kicking, but generally it's given a wide berth....   :evillaugh:

Thanks for the heads up.  I'm going to watch it again and drool over the kitties.

I saw my  neighbours magnificent white moggie today, my dog just stood and watched him and didn't even move when the cat walked away.  Amazing for a Cairn really, they usually chase everything in sight.  I think they have come to a mutual understanding.

I cant believe I missed the first one!  >:(

1 of 3 is on again tonight  BBC2 @ 7.00 p.m. Never seen something repeated so soon.

I only just watched 2 of 3 that I recorded last night.  Fantastic and I soooooo loved Yoga cat Ted and Dora - very very chilled out cats.

I can't wait to see who the other cat is on the street that wants to be Top Cat.  I'll watch 3 of 3 as soon as I have time.

I loved the second programme, especially about the two cats in one street and the usurper I can't wait to find out who he is, little monster.

Aww weren't those farm kittens just delightful, it didn't do anything for my cat withdrawal symptoms >:( :scared:

I did love the story of the farm cat that is now a very pampered house pet.  Oh you could see his intelligence on his face, he made it good and that was where he was going to stay and not to return to his working class background.

My old cat Chloe used to bring 3 mice a night, let alone a week.

3 catches per week?  Amateurs  :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

I'm watching it now - the cats aren't too impressed though, they are very unhappy every time they hear one of the cats wail on the TV!

Thats why they do so well fending for themselves.

I know my Smudge R.I.P managed to fend for himself because he went missing in September 2007 I didn't find him until April 2008 (unfortunately he had been run over that morning and someone saw my poster and called me) but he was as fat as he was when he went missing.  The area was near Howarth and it was all open fields and farms as well as houses so I often wonder how many mice he had to catch instead of having his usual tin of tuna  :Luv2:

I have always been amazed at the strengh and power packed into a small animal. A mini Lion on your lap, small perfectly formed killing machine. Thats why they do so well fending for themselves. Much better than dodgies.

Those ginger's were lovely

No not said that YET Dawn

I loved the slow motion shots of the Bengal, Callie I think her name was.

Poor Diggy, I was annoyed when she let the brat annoy him.  The other parents were great with their kids and their cats.

Some really beautiful cats in the study.  I love the 2 fat ginger farm cats.

I loved the last words in the programme - "Do you really have a lion in your lap?"  :evillaugh: :Luv2:

Poor Diggy. I'm not surprised he packed his bags and left home  ;D I would have done the same.

Me too. >:( Stupid owner didn't even attempt to stop her baby pulling poor Diggy around.

There were some gorgeous cats in that programme  :Luv: - oh, okay, they were all gorgeous but some were spectacular!

The Bengal now he was stunning and those eyes.

I watched it and thoroughly soaked up all the cats doing wonders for my cat withdrawal symptoms.  There were two things that made me think:

a)  About the ears being highly sensitive, I wondered if a Maine Coon had better hearing then a normal domestic moggy due to it's size and hair.

b)  I felt so sorry for the cat having been pushed out by a baby and the dog.  I was glad they showed how to bring a baby into the cats domain in a friendly way.
