We have him in our bedroom but he is still scared of us so hasn't been very reassured. We had to move out of the bedroom ourselves to get some kind of sleep.

He is probably lonely, remember he has only recently left his mum and siblings and familiar smells and surroundings. I usually let them sleep in the same room as me, if this is not at option you could try giving him a cuddly toy or a warm hot water bottle to curl up with. If he is in the same room as you try talking softly to him to reassure him.

New kitten crying

We have taken in anew kitten and the first night he spent all of it crying, he is very timid of us still but also very curious. It seems like he wants to go out of the confinement room already.
I would let him out but we also have a 20 month old cat and they haven't met yet.
What can we do to help the kitten with his crying and settle in?
