Jaffa had his special tea on Saturday (Applaws tuna fillet and hard boiled egg) and he ate it all  ;D  He's in good form at the moment - quite lively and eating well (with a bit of persuasion).  He's currently curled up on the sofa beside me being all cute and purry  :Luv:

My little gingerbread man is 17 years old today.  2 months ago to the day he was having seizures and I didn't think he'd be here to celebrate his birthday.  But here he is.  Still my purry, furry little boy.   He's not too well today and I was expecting that because he's been quite well this week so I felt we were due a down day.  He was sick this morning but he seems to have perked up a bit now.  We will save his celebration tea of tuna and egg until he's feeling a bit better and will enjoy it.

It is a bittersweet day as I know this will be his last birthday.  But today is a day for being happy and celebrating the fact that we are together for another birthday.  He is the sweetest, gentlest, most loving little boy imaginable and he has been through so much over the past 2 months.  I treasure every moment I spend with him.  I can't believe it's almost 17 years since I brought that little kitten home and he has been a mummy's boy from day one.  I love you, Sir Jaffa Cake Stripey Paws  :Luv: and hope you have the best birthday ever.  We will have lots of cuddles and some yummy yogurt and save your special tea for tomorrow  :Luv2:

As he is now - gungy eyes and showing his age but I still think he is the most gorgeous boy ever and love every bit of him (especially his soft, velvety ears which I love to kiss and nibble :Luv2:)
