Thanks for asking Sheila .
He is just about back to normal again, had his prawns last night and I keep checking he is not to hot and wiping him down with a cold wet flannel.
I have a thread on new cat have called him Merlin.
He has already been to,the vet , has really bad runs , but got him on Stomorgyll and seeing how he is tomorrow.
All good this morning as I had to starve him 24 hours on vets advice who I rang yesterday .
Please have a look on his thread , he is such a lovely cat .

Winston is a bit better today thank goodness !
He is still wobbly on his legs and slept most of the day ,but he has eaten about a sachet of food in small meals and is slowly recovering, but still needs all the healing vibes you can send please.

Stray cat is now named Merlin and in my porch and using litter tray fine !!!
A very loving affectionate cat who has let me groom his head and ruff ( rest has been shaved off by someone !? ) cut his claws and give him a gentle brush over.
His skin is very greasy and he is very dirty ,so hopefully will bath him in the next couple of days .
I think he is a blue Persian but hard to tell with the dirt !!
Poor boy ,all he wants is love

Going to be pts on Friday as I don't think they could be bothered with him, only approx 3 years old !
Also given him Aviproplus and started him on stomorgyll
as he had the runs due to crappy food he has been given and senior food at that !

Went put for first time in ages left Keeley looking after cats for first time and Winston has had another bad turn

He had keeled over again, messed himself and laid in it and had been sick.
I had to,bath him when I got back ,he was very unsteady on his feet and still isn't too good .
I know the vet will want to,pts but I need to see if I can get him through tonight and see if he picks up,
I am so stressed its unbelievable but trying to,stay calm for Winston.
Brother is deteriating too and I had to rescue a cat that was going to be pts at weekend for not using a litter tray in the 4 weeks he had been there !
All this has happened and I only went out to get my new tattoo!
Why is my life so awful and stressed ?
I am too tired to cry

I hardly ever go out as well , tattoo is about twice over the year and my brother once a week for two hours .the rest of the time I am at home all day .
I don't even go shopping now I have it delivered !

Winston is still ok, still fragile but eating well !
I am just staying in with him and keeping my eye on him now ,,feels like 24/7 .
He is so amazing though, looks a little better than yesterday ,so hoping for more improvement over the next few days.

Winston is still here with me and definitely a lot better

I sat up with him till 7am when I felt ok to go to bed for a couple of hours.
It was awful, like it was in slow motion the way he keeled over and his back legs were just tucked under him and unable to walk .
I just cuddled him and got some Aviproplus into him every 20 mins and when he wanted to get up to the litter tray I carried him and he had terrible runs . This happened twice in about an hour.
I just sat with him all night and stroked him and also have him extra frusimide tablet ( the vet gave him frusimide injection last time , he is on 1/4 a day ,so gave him an extra 1/2 .
Later on I gave him a stomorgyll for his tummy and he seems to be settling down about 5 am.
At 6am ,he sat up and walked like he usually does ( yes, Susanne ,he has arthritis in his front legs and he has never been the same since he hurt his back,leg when I went put one day and never did know what happened! Can only guess he fell from the stairs or jumped down funny from somewhere)
Then he looked as if he was hungry, so gave him 1/2 a sachet and he ate most of it , had a wash and started purring.
Waited a little longer and went to bed , got up a couple of times to check him and he seems back to usual now.
I know the vet would have pts if he had even survived the journey there !
He is certainly a fighter

Really sorry to hear that Winston may have had another stroke. If he has I hope he can recover from it. Could he have some arthritis in his legs? Jaffa's back legs are weak and I think it's a combination of arthritis and the ckd with maybe the after effects of his probable stroke too. Sending lots of get well vibes

He was fine till all of sudden he sat up,and was a bit sick. Then he just went to one side and his legs wouldn't work , think he has had a mini stroke again .
I didn't take to the vet as last time he wanted to pts as he didn't think,he would make the night.
Same symptoms only his leg as were a lot worse and he went even more glassy eyed.
I rang my neighbour to come round for support and she used to foster for cats protection.
He looked very bad and was open mouthed. I sat and cuddled him which normally he wouldn't sit on you at all,only near to you.
I syringes Aviproplus and also made up some lectade.
He seems to have come round a bit and not as unsteady on his legs as he was.
Will be sleeping on sofa tonight to watch him as still don't think he is back to,himself.
He is a frail boy now and his legs aren't very good.
In fact since I came home that day and he couldn't put his leg down and I don't know what happened , he has never been the same since and his legs have gradually got worse.
I can't bear to,think of losing him and he is a fighter ,so hope he is going to fight this tonight.
Please send him purrs healing vibes . Thank you .
