Love the update Paul.   So sorry you have your hands well and truly full, but know that you're doing all you can to make the lives of the cats in your care easier, and hopefully to get good homes for them all.

Vincent's lovely.   :Luv:

Hi everyone, here is a quick update on our cat rescue and re-homing centre here in Pattaya Thailand.

We have had a very good start to the year and today little "Mickey" went to his new home so we have now re-homed 16 cats and kittens however we have also had an influx of abandoned cats too so we still have 49 here wating for FREE adoption

You may remember poor vincent who survived some terrible injuries after being hit by a car , well he is doing really well now and most of the breaks in his jaw have finally healed.

We rescued a cat a few weeks ago "Beauty" who had a damaged leg, luckily it was just a nasty infected bite and not a break but as soon as we saw her we realised that she was heavily pregnant too !!

Three weeks ago she gave birth to 5 lovely kittens, they are now getting around a bit and starting to make a nuisance of themselves !!

Next stop weaning and potty training !!

I have attached a few photos for you to see and will try and keep you updated on our progress.

You can keep up to date by looking at our website,

Thanks, Paul, Sandra and the Cats @ cats4youinpattaya !!

Little Mickey is fattening up now and although he still has a limp from his argument with a motorbike he is very eager to come out to play !!
And yes KittyNic you were right,  already "Milo" went to his new forever home yesterday !! ;D

Thanks everyone,

Hi Eveyone, :thanks:
Thanks for the comments about Vincent, he continues to improve day by day and now has an outside enclosure to lounge around in in the day time, his good eye has improved too and now when he is outside in the daylight the pupil acts almost normally , we are sure that this will improve further in time.
He went for another Xray yesterday and it looks like he may have to have one more operation to complete the work on his lower jaw even though he can eat by himself the jaw is not aligned 100%.
We have had a busy time here and have now re-homed 8 cats and kittens so far this year, you may remember "Boss & Blue" from an earlier post, they went to a new home this week !!
Of course there have been some new arrivals too, "Milo" the chubby ginger boy, "Lucy" the loudest fastest kitten in Pattaya and lastly poor little "Mickey" so named because he is no bigger than a mouse !!
Thanks again,

Paul, Sandra and the Cats !!

Hi everyone,

Here is an update on Poor Vincent that you may have seen previously here on "Purrs in our hearts".

Yesterday we picked Vincent up from the hopital, he has make a speedy and quite remarkable recovery as you will see in the photos.

His left eye has now been removed and thankfully although his other eye has problems with the pupil being dilated permanently he still has some vision in it, we are hoping that in time the problem with this eye will improve.

His lower jaw has been repaired with a wire which will probably have to stay in for good, he now has only 2 teeth left in the lower jaw !!

He can eat soft food and drink water with very little problem now.

Sadly for him he has now been tested for Felv and the initial results show that he is positive , we are hoping that in a few months time when he has settled in after his terrible trauma then maybe a re-test may change the outcome but until then he will have to be kept seperate form the others here.

We have had cats before that have been tested more than once with different results so we are keeping our fingers crossed for him.

Thanks to everyone who have donated to help with the costs of his operations.

We are so glad to have him here at home now where he can get some well deserved love and attention.

Regards

Paul, Sandra and the Cats !!

Hi Pappilon,
Thank you so much for your donation to help poor Vincent.

We saw him again today and took his collar off to clean him up a bit, twenty minutes later he was looking a lot cleaner and hopefully he will feel a bit better too.

He has stopped drooling quite so badly so he should stay cleaner now.

When his collar was off we could clearly see the wire going through his lower jaw, it always amazes us how animals can bear pain better than us feeble humans !!

He actually spoke to us just before we left him something that he hadn't been able to do up until now, just a faint meow but it melted our hearts,  we will be so glad when we can get him home to make a fuss of him.

We will keep you updated on his recovery,

Thanks again, Paul, Sandra and the Cats !!

Poor little chap! Reminds me of my Chivvy after his RTA, he was very drooly afterwards and always had a slightly twisted jaw. I do hope that Vincent continues to mend well.

Hi everyone, here is a quick update on poor Vincent who received such terrible injuries when he was hit by a car.
We visited him again yesterday and he has now had his damaged eye removed, the good news is that he still has some sight in his other eye even though his pupil is permanantly dilated, we are hoping that the damage done causing this problem may heal in time.
His lower jaw has been repaired and wired but he will still have to undergo another operation to finish the repair in another 7 days time.
As you can see in the photos he has lost a lot of his teeth and is drooling a lot at the moment but he is still in good spirits and is very happy to see us when we visit.
He just loves to have his tummy tickled and enjoys a good combing !!
This brave fellow seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds, we will keep you posted on his progress.
Thanks, Paul, Sandra and the cats !! :)

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since we last posted on purrsinourhearts and thought we would give you a quick update on our work here in Thailand.
We have had a good start to the year and have now re-homed 4 cats and kittens, but of course as usual as soon as one gets re-homed another comes a knocking at the door !!

Little "Lucky one" is now if fine shape and has only a slight limp to show for her "Broken leg" ordeal now we have to find a nice home for her.
We have just collected 2 lovely boys after their owner passed away a couple of weeks ago "Blue" and "Boss" are a lovely pair who have settled in well here already after just one week, they are both booked in for neutering tommorrow.

We also have a very needy case "Vincent" he was brought to our local hospital after being hit by a car, to make things worse he was left to die at the side of the road, finally after 3 days laying in the gutter he was picked up and taken to the hospital.

As you can see in the photo he has a badly broken jaw, one eye is ruptured and it looks as if he is blind in his other eye due to the trauma,  he is also being fed through a tube until his jaw can be repaired.

We have been visiting him and have agreed to bring him home if and when he is well enough, he will need a lot of care after he has his operations.

Hopefully he will be fit enough to operate on this Sunday so we are keeping our fingers crossed for him.

We are trying to raise some funds to help with the cost of his surgery and after care and have just had an article written for him in one of our local papers "The Pattaya Today Newspaper" it will be published on the 1st of Feb and is online if you would like to read it.

Don't forget to keep an eye on our website  http://cats4youinpattaya.webs.com/ to follow our progres throughout 2014.

Regards, Paul, Sandra and the Cats !!

Hi everyone, just a few lines to thank everyone again for their support.

Little "Lucky one" finally had her stitches out yesterday, we allow her out of her cage for short periods to get some exercise, of course being kept in a cage for long periods makes cats even more crazy when they are allowed out, so we have to keep a good eye on her to make sure she doesn't do too much just yet.

Here are a couple of photos of her playing with the "Cheese Chase" one of her favourite toys !!

Also a photo of little "Midge & Buster" with their new mum and dad.

don't forget you can follow "Lucky one's" progress by keeping an eye on our website  http://cats4youinpattaya.webs.com/

Thanks again,

Paul,Sandra & the Cats !!

Hi Tanya,

Thank you so much for your donation to help little "Lucky one" she is an amazing little girl who has come on in leaps and bounds literally !!

She is having her stitches out tommorrow, already she is playing and bouncing around in her cage, sadly she will have to stay in there for a while yet.

She is such a fighter , we are always amazed with the tolerance of pain that cats have, when we first collected her her leg was swinging around, it made me feel quite queasy but she never made a murmour, just full on purrs !!

I will post some more photos of her when she gets her bandage off tommorrow.

Thanks again,

Paul,Sandra & the Cats !!

Hi everyone again,

As usual here there are many ups and downs, today was both an up and a down day !!

On the up side we took another kitten to a new home this morning , then came the bad news a Russian tourist called us to say she had rescued a small black cat from a couple of nasty dogs, when she chased the dogs away and picked the little one up she saw that she had at the very least sustained a broken leg.

We met Yana an hour later and collected poor "Lucky one" who did indeed have a back leg broken.

We rushed her to our local animal hospital where it was found that she did not have any bite wounds so we think she must have been hit by a motorbike and ran into the bushes to hide which is where the dogs found her.

After an Xray she was found to not only have broken her leg but fractured her pelvis too !!

Hopefully she will be having the leg pinned on Sunday when she sould be strong enough and also having her pelvis looked at as well.

So once again we are appealing for donations no matter how small to help us with the cost of her treatment, as usual you can Donate using our website DONATE link or by using the link on our FaceBook page "Free Cats 4 You In Pattaya".

You can follow "lucky one's progress " on our website :-

Great job  ;D ;D ;D

However attitudes are changing and I am on instagram and so many people in far east with multiple cats, its made me feel very good. One in particular who is in Thailand  ;D ;D

I have very strong views about foreign cats being brought to uk for homing however...............we have far too many here that need homes already sadly.

Hi everyone,

We are a British couple who moved to Pattaya Thailand 7 years ago, when we arrived here it was soon obvious to us that help was needed for the local stray cats in our community, to cut a long story short we started a shelter for abandoned and stray cats.

We have 44 cats and kittens here at our home all available for FREE adoption, this year we have managed to re-home 58 cats and kittens so far and hope to get more into new homes before the end of the year.

We have not yet managed to re-home a cat outside of Thailand but are keen to try, and now the quarantine rules have been lifted in the UK it is not too hard to achieve.

We rely on our savings to run our shelter but do get a few donations now and again, if anyone is interested they can look on our website :-- http://cats4youinpattaya.webs.com/  on this site you can see photos of the lovely cats and kittens that we have here available for FREE adoption and also some of the cats that we have re-homed with their new owners.

We also have a few "Permanent" residents here, "Toby" the cat with no eyes, "Charlie" who is both deaf and partially sighted, "Flip & Flop" 2 young disabled cats who can't walk, to namejust a few, we are looking for people to sponsor their care too.

If you would like to help us in our never-ending task helping the cats in Pattaya and the surrounding area then you can by adopting one of our cats or by using the DONATE link on the site.

We would encourage anyone who is thinking of helping us to "Google" "cats4youinpattaya" first and see the many pages showing the work we are doing here.

Also here is the link to a short You-Tube video that a local Tv crew "Pattaya Plus" filmed for us a few years ago :--
