Hi,

Mr Blue is stunning and reminds me of dear Smokey a cat I had as a kid, we were told he was a british blue cross of some sort.  To me Smokey and Mr Blue more resemble a thailand breed called a Korat

Gosh such a long time ago I posted and to update this thread  :smack:

Well Mr Blue is still here  ;D  He is a big cuddle bear of a lad and although doesn't get on with Garf & Marl ,they tollerate each other!  :phew:

He is very protective of the outside the front as he can go out and is a fighter with some of the other cats protecting his home but a right softbum in the house and def will not go near Garf (the boss) and Marl. It's like he knows he has to be 3rd cat in here or he can't stay!!

Garf is so funny as he will give Mr Blue a Bop on his ed when he is sleeping on the cat tower. He will creep up slowly. look at where mr Blue is fast asleep, look about and then reach up and Bopp! Poor ole Mr Blue wakes up in a start!   :r u chicken

So looks like he is ere to stay  ;D ;D

Here's some pics

lol couldn't find Marl except a leg!!!

Well it's been a while and we have been introducing Mr Blue from outside shelters to inside house for a while now. My lads are not too keen still, Marley is quite quiet :( and sometimes has tail down and sniffing about in the house in scaredy mode but there has been no fighting with occasional hiss from mr boss man Garf.

Mt blue is actually making himself at home by stealing Steve's chair in the lounge as his main bed! ooops!!!  :evillaugh:

Still not sure he will fit in with my two lads but hopeful.

I suspect, given that Maisy and Mr Boo get along relatively well, the two of them could be relatively peacably installed.

I love this lady's blog, and her philosophy is largely a sound one....

Now I fink Maisey would fit in quite nicely with them as she's a girlie ha ha but mr boo is harder to home so this way it might work out?

It's garf thats alpha male in da house that needs to accept him, garf just stares at him from high!
poor marl is under cat so I fink more accepting but  it seems marl is having a "I'm scared time " as he is very cautious in garden walks about very slowly looking and smelling, jumping at slightest noise. And sleeping a hell of  alot. He wouldn't go out a mo ago until I went out and sat out there with him.  Funny that as it was him touching noses with mr boo in house ???  Hmmm

Lol ya know I'm an ole worrier with me lads so I am worried to disturb their only space they have being indoor & garden only lads. Last fing I want is them unhappy :(  here's marl just sat here now :( he's been asleep all day since breakfast and only up hour ago for food. ???

Hmmm Mr Blue or mr Boo as I call him lol  well he is much chunkier and has had a clean bill from vets he also is neutered so it wasn't him leaving smelly Tom cat spray near our front door. That we have found out is an owned cat living 3 roads away ... Hmm I have out my pennies worth to the owners! Grrr!
Anyhoo mr Boo has been popping in of his own accord in to the back garden and sneekin in the house when we have windows open. He's not arrgressive at all and really wants company. My two lads are not sure by there have been no fights but they both have stayed in house more and not going into their cat proofed garden as much.
Anyhoo it been a bit like scent swapping where mr boo goes outside at night and sleeps in cosy bin cupboard attached to house in front so my lads have all their space back at night. In day he has been sleeping in garden with sometimes my two out there asleep as well.
Last few days he has decided to pop in window more often and all three have met more often. No fighting a few single hiss from mr boo but none from my lads.
Today Marley touched noses with him .... Wow!!!
As its still warm and he has dry cosy shelter out front, I will continue as things are see if my two will be ok with him in house. Here's mr boo today

So I brought her in as mr blue was in shelter and she was tiny :(. Had her overnight in bedroom with us and next day neighbours took her in with their two furgirls :) vets said she already had been spayed but was very thin . Anyhoo she is great now and although not totally ok with the two girls gets in ok with them . :)
Now to mr blue ...

Well still no one coming forward for him, no lost adverts or posters been 3 + months now since they appeared and we been feeding them. The reason I say them is we noticed Mr blue and little Maisey months ago feeding off the bits I was leaving for mr hedgey outside the front, so we started the paper collars, contacting local vets and found posters etc whilst feeding them and popping a shelter out front. Then we had some very bad weather and little Maisey was sat drenched and crying. :( Mr blue and Maisey always arrived together but mr blue used leave her here and wonder off. Anyhoo Maisey had vey check and she underweight but has been spayed :) she is however very scared of any sticks :( we found out when trying to play with frenzy.  Mr blue is also scared I sticks :(
Here's pic of little Maisey in our house over night a while ago

 :thanks:

I will get him in to be done next week.  If there is an owner about that hasn't seen posters or paper collar then they very sadly don't care about him or other cats in the area for him not to be neutered, full of fleas when I 1st saw him :(  lol so it wont hurt if I just pop him in to be done... hee hee heee!

Will keep him in our bathroom over night after op and let him back out again and hopefully find a home for him or try and see if stinky smell goes in a couple of weeks if he will fit in with my lads but I will have a prob of letting him out as he is used to and not letting my lads out if they do get on ok.

thank gowd its summer (or meant to be! ) so it's not too bad outside for him and he has two cat shelters outside  in front of house katkabin and one big wooden cat/ rabbit hut at the back of the houses with cosy bed in it.   :Luv:
Not to mention he is having fun playing with some Purrs toys!!

I know you've searched for an owner, but he looks so much like an owned cat who's just visiting for more food. Are you absolutely sure he's stray? If he is, he hasn't been for long.

Your cats may get on much better with him after he's been done, as Gill has said. If you can afford him, perhaps it would be a good idea to keep him in the area, just in case his 'owner' turns up.

 :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: hunnies :)

I will find a way to keep him in overnight after the op.

He is dying to come in the house and sooo loves cuddles and playing. Such a gentle lad.  :Luv: :Luv:

I have seen him outside with other cats and he is not bothered by them as has let other owned neighbourhood cats step in and eat his dinner while he watches.  :innocent:

He has got into our back garden in the day which is cat proofed from cats getting out but not in!  :innocent:  Me or Steve has to get our lads in and let him out the side gate every time. He has sprayed in there and my boys just don't like it as it's their only outside space, they are very cautious going out there now just by smelling his spray.  I am not sure if my lads and him have come into contact yet as they are allowed to go out and in at night as they please in their garden though their microchip cat flap.

I will get him done asap and then try to find him a home he really deserves  :Luv: :Luv: :Luv:

I dont think he is a pedigree but could be a cross with British.

He is lovely and seems like he had a home once.

I agree with Liz and sad that he cant come in................do you think your boys would accept him? If so it maybe worth trying it out as you have the garden..............if he shows signs of too much restlessness and wanting to get out of the garden then it would have to be back out at the front sadly.

Your road before the field does worry me though.

Oh he is like our own darling Blue feral any chance you could get in touch with Lesley formally of 9 lives and see if she could help out she does work in the vets I think still she may know of someone looking for a boy and somewhere he could recover, I keep mine in for 24 hours in case of complications in a big dog crate always an option for you even outside if the pen is covered and they have a self heating heatpad and food and a litter tray and clip on water bowl at least he could be monitored by you till the 24 hour period is up and then open the door and if you are happy to feed him keep him where he is

Hi Tan nice to see you here ;)
How about asking your vet to keep him in for couple of nights after the op and then you can let him back out in your garden , i am sure he'll stay around till the right home comes up.
Do you know how he is with other cats? Has he seen your boys.

Hi Everybuddies

Sorry not been on much, so sadly not much spare time with family commitments, work etc but you lots are always in my thoughts

For the last few months, we have had a absolutely gorgeous stray boy   :Luv: :Luv: coming for food. We call him Mr Blue.
He was scared at 1st coming up to us but now he is sooooo affectionate and very gentle, You can stroke his belly and no claws out at all.   :Luv: :Luv:
He is a young boy about 2 yrs old, I am not sure if he is a breed ie Bristish Blue?, sadly not neutered.

So far we have done the paper collar, found posters in local area, scanned for chip (no chip), asked for a space at local rescues but sadly no space available yet. We have put out two shelters for him, one large outside wooden hut  which is out of any public view/walkway at the back of the houses and another kat-kabin by our front door so he has a place to go out of the rain etc. Me or Steve feed him regularly.  He now basically living here. So sadly he does want to come into the house but I just can't let him in with my two boys (indoor and cat proofed garden only) as they are already aware of him from his smell coming in to the house from the front door and no like it!

He is not neutered, so the next step is to get him done and homed in a loving home. We are happy to cover the vet costs but my vets like to have somewhere for him to go inside for 24 hrs after the neutering op but I can't let him in here and sadly as he would still spray for a time after no neighbours have the room for him to go. :(

Sooo  questions are when we get him done, is it ok for him to be let outside again as soon as he comes back from vets (ie like trap neuter and return for strays)

and is there anyone that could offer him a loving home? Hopefully before it gets bad weather.
