I'm glad that Dougie got to spend the rest of his life with people who loved him as much as you did, Baggy. He must've been so content.

I'm sorry for your loss. :care:

Rest Easy, Dougie. Loved always.

Sad news  :( so sorry Dougie had to go. Brave of you to help him on his way at the right time. Better a moment too soon, than a moment too late.

Aw, am sorry to hear about Dougie.  He was a beautiful looking cat - I dont know when that photo was taken, but if it was recent, he certainly didn't look his age.

RIP Dougie.

Thank you everybody :thanks: Even though he was a fairly senior gentleman (we think he was about 14) overall he was in pretty good health, so it's all been a bit of a shock.  We're glad he didn't have a long illness or any pain, but it's always so hard to go through...

Very sorry to hear this Baggy  :(  Such a special boy, no doubt about about it  :'(

I remember when you got him, after first losing The Proot, then Dinah and he filled that cat-shaped hole with such style and character

RIP beautiful Dougie, safe and sound at the Bridge by now xx

After not being around for a while I'm sorry that my first post on here for ages is to let you know that our that lovely Dougie, aka Mr. Meowser is no longer with us  :'(

He had a cluster of seizures in February and was started on medication straight away.  Although initially he seemed to be doing well, over the next few weeks he gradually started to develop signs and symptoms that pointed to the underlying cause being due to a brain lesion.  He was starting to go downhill a tiny bit every day, so myself and my OH decided to let him go before things started to get any worse for him.

He was such a lovely, characterful boy and we're so glad that he came to live with us and that we could give him the care he deserved. Am pretty sure he loved us to bits too - a few days after he left us we came home and were greeted by a massive rainbow almost directly over the house.

RIP Mr. Meowser you are much-missed.
