:welcome: to Purrs,  bless you for caring for this puss.

It is better to go through rescues so that proper checks are done and the right home found.  Please be careful where you advertise him because there are some unscrupulous people out there who you can't trust. I would go through the list of rescues, if you click on the map you'll find the area you want:

http://www.catchat.org/adoption/index.html

It is likely that they will be ful so you need to ask to go on their waiting list, or some will do a direct rehoming - which is where the rescue finds the home for the cat but the cat remains with you until that time.  That can be a better option if you'd rather him stay with you until a home is found.

Best of luck!

Hi, thank you for such a nice welcome.  Yes he was brought in as a stray.  He was held for 10 days (I was on my down time so not at work in this time) and I went in with two days to spare.  There was no way he was going to be pts, he's perfectly healthy!

I work in Yorkshire but live in Lincs.  I've not contacted any local rescues here as I don't want to burden their resources.  I'm advertising him in as many places I can think of though as I want him to go from me to his permanent home.

He's such a lovely cat, I'd prefer him not to be penned up again...he just wants a fuss  :Luv2:

 :welcome: to Purrs

Thank goodness you stepped in and saved him  Saw from your other post that you're a vet nurse so I guess he was brought into your practice as a stray? Have you got him on the waiting list of local rescues?

This 1-2 year old black castrated male was due to be put to sleep today 25/2/13 as none of the local charities/rescue centres had space for him.  He's a healthy affectionate  young boy that loves a fuss.

He's not bothered by dogs and appears to be fine around other cats.

He needs and deserves to go to a loving forever home.

He's flea free, he'll be wormed but will of course need vaccinations as I don't know his status.
