Another vote for bile
If it's frothy I'd be almost 100% it's bile - and easy to mistake for urine, because it doesn't smell good either
My persian sometimes brings up bile because of hairballs.  :-[

If it were cystitis it would have been a tiny puddle, not frothy at all, and you would normally associate stressed behaviour from him.

However, keep a close watch, if he's visiting the tray every half hour or so then yes, it could well be.

More likely he's been grooming and got himself a furball. This will make him vomit fluids until he fetch's it up, which he should do in a couple of day's time.

I should add I got rio in sept and the previous owner said he drank a lot of water. He is a big Maine Coone and does drink a lot but not excessively.

He also just used the litter tray :-/

Urine or bile!!!

Just got up to a pool of wet stuff on the livingroom laminate! Because its dark wood I couldn't decipher what it was - used kitchen roll (it looked a bit frothy) and it was yellow and I thought smelt like urine.

However I've just noticed a smaller spot in hall and that seemed to be bile... Just really watery vomit!

It's all cleaned up properly now but a bit worried... No idea which cat it was - both eating fine and normal.

If it is urine though it might be cystitis might it not? It wasn't on anything, no behavioural marking or anything - just literally in the middle of the floor as If one of them couldn't stop it.

Litter tray is fine, access to it wasn't closed off and it was just in the middle of the floor!

My nose suggests urine but everything else would suggest its just watery sick..., rio drinks water everywhere and often out the basin and depending on what's mixed with it sometimes he can bring water up - not anything I've been worried about before.

All I can do is wait? Or is there any other suggestions?

Very strange!
