Well the final amount has been sorted and passed to Paws Inn  ;D

And it has gone up so the final total now is:

£2683

This is just such a staggering amount and I was shocked at £2500 but just look at it now  :wow: :wow:

Thank you everyone

Just amazing, I still can't believe that we have raised so much - a fantastic reflection on the kindness and genorosity of Purrs members  :)

A massive pat on the back to everybody involved - people who kindly donated things, the bidders who bid so generously, the companies who donated. All the auction staff have done an absolutely amazing job - from Sam MME (marketing manager extraordinaire) getting the most wonderful donations to the night bumpers who did a sterling job and kept the bids high, the spreadsheet keepers, the auction end posters - and of course Tan & Gill whose idea all those years ago has resulted in the tradition of the PACA  :wow:  :gold stars: all round.

I would however like to award Kay the 'PACA 2012 special award' for best 'closure of thread' icons - inspired choices that have me  :evillaugh: each time!

Amazing  :wow: :wow: :wow:
Well done Purrs peeps, our Mods, Auction staff (who were utterly brilliant!) and the inimitable Tan for making all this happen.

How Teresa would be feeling right now? I'm guessing overwhelmed, embarrassed, humbled but overall DELIGHTED that the Inn will be able to carry on.  :wow:

Well done everyone.  :) I'm so proud to have been associated with this.  ;D :grouphug:

Thank you to every one who bid, auctioned, helped behind the scenes and helped to raise such a fantastic amount for Paws Inn  ;D ;D

I am waiting to hear from Tan what the final figure is but understand that Paws Inn has received some/most? of the money  ;D

I can't confirm or otherwise because the Paws Inn account is not an internet account so we don't know what has gone in until we get a statement from the bank.  Whatever the total I know we will be blown away by it.  I'm working on a Gwyneth Paltrow-esque acceptance speech.  :innocent:  :-[   ;)

 :drama:

Really looking forward to finding out how much was raised  :wow:

Incidentally, looking at the auction thread, there seems to be one item still unclaimed/paid for. If the bidder doesn't resurface I would be glad to pick up the tab (and donate the items to Paws Inn). The offer is there if needed, anyway...

I've only just realised there are two threads running with the total on so here is a copy of my post yesterday on the other one:

Debbie and I realised last night that neither of us had told Rob the auction total and we agreed it might be better done in person because then somebody would be there to catch him as he fell.   She was going round after work tonight  so if she she saw this before she went I hope she had the smelling salts with her.

We still can't put into words how grateful, heartened, humbled and downright amazed we are at the total and at the outstanding generosity of Purrs people.  Thank you just doesn't seem adequate but its all we can come up with at the moment.  Thank you everybody.

She didn't have the smelling salts but says she wishes she had.  :evillaugh:

Stunning.

I was expecting the total be a little lower as everybody is feeling the pinch these days but oh no, not Purrs people!

Everybody involved should feel very proud and a special thank you to all those volunteers who kept things ticking along, it must have been hard work but look how it has paid off.

Thank you everybody.

At the risk of repeating myself :evillaugh:

Un-be-leiv-a-ble :wow: The generosity of both bidders and auctioneers has just gobsmacked me. Purrs people really are the absolute best :)

Even those that lost out and didn't manage to win anything have helped Paws Inn immensly just by bidding as if there were no bidders prices wouldn't have got as high as they did = less money for the Paws Inn cats and kittens so absolutely everyone involved can be very proud of themselves - bidders, winners, losers, auctioneers, companies that kindly donated stuff, auction staff, Sam MME (marketing manager extraordinaire)  :gold stars: all round
