Yes I do and my late Napoleon had them.
They are not caused by excitement and your vet needs to get a grip, many have never dealt with a cat having seizures and disbelieve everything they are told by the owner.
If Abby is still having seizures now, she needs medical help.
I do hope you have her insured with a good company cos she may need an MRI scan and they are seriously expensive.
Please can you give as many details as possible, like why did she go to the vet, has she been given any medication, how old is she, how long did seizures last, how long between, what did she act like, did she loose control of her bladder, how was she after and for how long. Did she show any signs prior to the seizures?
You need to keep a diary with times and dates and answers to the above cos this will help the vet.
Helpful advice........give her a dish of wet food immediately following a seizure, you wqill probably find she gobbles all this up.
After a seizure do not move her but let her find her own way again, it will be slowly and just talk to her gentle and keep the light dimmed.
Keep a pillow handy for seizures to gently block her way if she is rolling to anywhere she can get hurt and to protect yourself from flying claws cos she has no idea of what is going on. Dont attempt to hold her or stop her rolling and do not confine her. She will not remember any of this and the good thing is that cats cant swallow her tongue.
I will try and advise based on 3 yrs with Napoleon but if she continues to have seizures you need to get medical help asap.
