I got one of these a few days ago as i was looking for some toys etc as my cat is under the weather due to lossing his granny cat. He doesnt seem all that impressed with the bed but i am just hoping thats due his mood. Its great value for money and i am going to be getting another one for upstairs.

the b+m in newcastle (westerhope) finally has some in stock... however.. it looks like the ones in the auction comes with treats and toys... surely it cant hurt to have the beds sprinkled throughout the house?!?!

Oh yes, a house isn't a home without an abundance of self-heating pet beds  :naughty:

we got 3 of the bowls too JS..my son insisted we needed one for each of the cats :innocent:. they are good for putting the milk and water in etc as quite heavy so less spiliage.

I saw these the other day. :) They also sell nice ceramic bowls for £1.49 - good if you have an acne sufferer within your feline family.

I have to raise my hand and say, I've never heard of B&M or HB either.

I'd love one (or two) of those pads though.  ;D

Fear not, your poor cats needn't miss out... I'm off today and have just had a successful re-visit to B&M so between Snarf and myself you will defo have some pads to fight over in the auction  :naughty: :boxer:

They are very bright boys and managed to lay on the warm and comfy sheepskin(alike) pad all by themselves  :naughty: It makes a slight crinkly noise as they get on it but even Lu who is sometimes shocked by his own shadow is more than happy to snuggle up on it and not in the least bit bothered by the crinkly sound as he gets on it.

I've moved it around a bit too and they keep following it, it started off on the settee, then moved to the floor and is now under the table - both boys are snuggled up and fast asleep on it as I type  :Luv2:

I'm off tomorrow so might have to take a trip to HB to get it out of my system  :evillaugh:

they look quite large, did you have to show them how to use it or did they just immediately take a liking to it... asking cos mine are finky blighters but pacey has a fetish for the wash basket so wondering if he would like  like one?

ps i take no pride in being B&M crazy, i dont get out much :-[

OK, you win for HB/B&M craziness  :evillaugh:

Back on topic...

Plenty big enough for two cats

WARNING - this is not suitable for two cats...

I take it back, Riley finally managed to share rather than barge Lu off it  :evillaugh:

i fear ive gone beyond that, i actually sent an african family out of wilkos down to B&M, they were looking at a wallpaper for their house and id got the same one...with matching cushions from B&M ( a hell of a lot cheaper) , i also did the same in the petshop with a woman looking for a small fish tank
willow hides in shame once i start off but spead the joy i say
I just said to gill i need to get to HB for xmas toys before they all get sold out for xmas, im cursing this dizzyness as my highstreet bargain shopping has been brought to a halt. seeing this heat pad just made me think...i need one looool :-[

I think i may get banned off the highstreet soon loool for shipping customers out of shops

I actually have to limit my HB visits as I go in for one small thing and come out having spent £40... but I probably get £100 worth of stuff for that £40!  If you ever go in a HB and see someone calling out 'look at this - it's only £5 and they are at least £15 in Tesco (to the person I'm with obviously  :innocent:) then it's probably me  :naughty: I can't help myself and the shop takes twice as long with all the 'look at this I can't believe how cheap it is comments'  :evillaugh:

I get all in a palaver not knowing if its cheapest in B&M or home bargains  yeah our HB is pretty good though its not as big as some, probs is i go in for the big pack of loo roll and come out with sooo much random stuff :-[
the wood pellet cat litter is good for using in our bird cages so tend to weight myself down with that too....and i buy those igloo houses for £3.99 and the cats never go in them, but they keep bringing out new colours..so i keep trying to buy more
my mom loves them as nearest is exeter to her i think? so quite far..when she comes up here she cant believe how cheap it all is. i keep telling her to wait till she comes up and stockpile some stuff but she likes to wander around home bargains instead muttering about the rip off prices in Devon :shy:

Home Bargains is waaaaaaaay better than B&M where I am. I find Home Bargains (HB as we affectionately call it here  :naughty: ) is better for branded stuff. I also really like their face wipes in the blue packaging (two packs for £1, I used to pay £4 for one pack of a different make) and the nappy sacks are great for cat litter, a decent size and nice and strong. I have to avoid their sweet aisle though as a trip to HB has ruined many a diet for me  :evillaugh:

Sam..you have no idea who B&M stores are  shame on you
, next you will be saying you havent heard of home bargains  :evillaugh:

saying that the two tend to come in a pair so if you havent got one store , you dont generally have the other either :shy:

they are ace for getting petstuff, any stuff really :wow:
B&M did have the fancy wrought iron petbed in during summer (my mom has one for her dog) I love B&M as they get at food, cat milk in cheap...the only probs is you never know when they will stop stocking it so you have to buy a trolly load :shify:

I shall keep a look out for these as we have a big store in our town, just havent been in for ages cos ive been ill :-[

Saw this at lunch time, so I rushed to B&M down the road, but they had none in ours  :(

They had radiator beds and a scratch post in the same type of packing. Will have to keep an eye out  :shify:

That's a shame

If they have any next time I go in I'll get a couple to put in the auction so if you haven't managed to find one by then you can  :boxer: for it in the auction  :naughty:

WARNING - this is not suitable for two cats... It was being approved by the junior in-house tester when the senior in-house tester jumped on him and stole the bed back  :-[

Here is poor Lu seconds before he was ousted and the senior in-house tester moments after the crime...

I think it basically reflects the heat back towards them, a bit like if you wrap yourself in one of those hospital space blankets! I put my hand on it after Riley vacated it a few mins ago (dinner time!) and it was nice and toasty  :)

Self heating pet bed (similar to flectabed?) - £3.99 in B&M.

Plenty big enough for two cats, pic of blurb on the box and of Riley enjoying it...

Edit: Just realised blurb is too small to read as pic resized

The relevant bits are: Heat reflecting layer, machine washable cover, thermal insulation and anti-slip backing.
