Great news  :)

I can either move this to 'cats needing home' section now, or to 'sorted' which would you like me to do?

Yup! She's getting collected from the vets at half-six tonight...  :Luv:
So relieved for this lady...

Hopefully got a foster home for her to go to... the couple sound lovely, so watch this space. So want to get her out of danger...

What a beautiful girl  :Luv2: Really hope that somebody can help  It may be worth posting on the Animal Lifeline forum too as they seem to work miracles finding rescue spaces and organising transport runs

Hi all,

Here I am again, another oldie at risk of PTS. My vet friend in Mapperley, Nottingham, emailed me this morning about a mid-teen ginger lady at risk. She was brought in as a stray to the practice were she works, and the practice owner said she could stay a couple of days then the RSPCA would have be called. My vet friend is only too aware what this will most likely mean if she goes to the RSPCA, and is desperate to get her safe. Details below what she emailed me:

"She is a super sweet cat. Found as stray in a garden. No chip found, no collar. She is probably 15+, eats like a horse (maybe hyperthyroid?), seems healthy apart from a bit of gum problems (but on antibiotics now and also yesterday she let us snap all her tartar off and polish her teeth with a cotton bud!!!!) She loves a fuss and is very gentle and not noisy at all. Loves being brushed. Clipped her nails yesterday.
Desperately needs a home because RSPCA will come and collect her otherwise...we all know what that means...this must not happen, she is gorgeous! My boss said we can keep her here for a few days but not for too long..."

I know from locuming at the practice that when her boss says a couple of days, she means it. They're lucky they managed a couple of days!

Anyone who can offer help, a home/foster place to get this lady safe, please let me know. If I didn't have Evil Edna, I'd take her like a shot, but there is no way Edna will tolerate a new oldie.

Many thanks in advance,

Liz xx
