It is a degenerative brain disease type thing I couldn't send Rileys body away to be cut up and looked at he died surrounded by love and for nearly 2 years was a wonderful feisty feral boy and that I am greatful for

We spoke to the head of Dick Vets as Lynn - Cody's Mum that used to be on here got me details of who to contact from her previous life being a Head Vet Nurse and of course our own wonderful vets did all they could

Riley went in under 6 months but was safe and warm and loved and the best thing he was a Clan cat ;D

I remember the post about Riley :-[

Its worrying that is in a specific area only ..It doesnt just seem to be ferals either so its not getting caught from an outside source. It seems to be a particulary soul destroying illness both for the cats and the human owners. :(

I know new illnesses do occur etc but things like this really make you think :-: I hope they figure out how to stop it.

I knew you lost Riley Liz  But I totally Missed the thread that is on here now  :(

I see Catchat has a little bit on it too http://www.catchat.org/discus/messages/92232/728601.html?1334918121

It is a worry, as they just don't know what seems to be causing it?? I think I heard that it could be linked to them eating
what they catch?? I just can't seem to believe that  Felines have been doing that for thousands of years already
I hope the specialist's get to the bottom of this very quickly  :scared: I always feel cat's have enough on their plates already
what with CRF, Feline aids etc....  :(

This is what killed our darling Riley it is a one way ticket very sadly we tried everything and then some it is a terrible thing to watch and we have 3 relatives of Riley - Blue, Sammy and Indie but I am over the paranoia of stalking there everymove and let them be all they want to be

I'm sure Liz had a feral in her clan earlier this year that had this.  Yes, just found of the threads, it was Riley.

It sounds an awful illness and hope they can find out what causes it and a treatment.
