Yes i am still looking for the right home for Mister and since i couldnt find him a home i had to put hold on to selling my place and managed to find a job which i cant stand but i couldnt just sell and go leaving Mister in a rescue

I think the couple sound lovely and is the ideal home but not sure if Mister is the right cat and i am not being unreasonable here but not only he is not a lap cat but he hardly stays in i dont mind because i love him and wanr his happiness but i have to ask is this fair on an older couple who may want a cat as company? Mister comes in when he wants to eat and have a nap in the afternoon and some times in the evenings he comes in but sleeps by the window behind curtains, he has got a bed on the sofa next to me but never uses and when i go to bed he spends an hour in his bed next to me and then leaves , i often find him early mornings in the back gd sleeping behind the shed even when is rainig or cold.
Last time when i tried to keep him in and locked the flap he smashed every thing on window seals trying to get out and tbh i dont think there are many people out there who wishes to keep him indoor for first 6-8 weeks and have their house destroyed

I had Mister since he was 8 weeks old and given him nothing but love and every thing a cat could wants but i have no idea why he is turned to be like this maybe he is just too independent or just dont like me or may be i have been too soft and now is too late to change him , i do blame my self but hoping that i find a suitable and right home and could get on with my plans.
The neighbours 2 door away from us offered him a home while back they are a couple on their 70's with massive house a garden perfect ,so i took him few days to their house and left him there but they couldnt coop and changed mind, SORRY for the long post just trying to explain dont know what

Thanks again for thinking of me and Mister, i know the right home will come along oneday.x I do hope Lau can home one of hers to this couple, they sound perfect

I'm gonna PM this link to Pav Alison now. Maybe a bit soon talking of 9 March and she will of course say whether she could consider handing over this incredibly special young man (I'm soooooooooooo in love with this boy) and will carry out any home checks herself I'm sure and it may well not work out but ..............

Thanks so much. I know the couple are really keen for a moggy but I am sure as long as its a rescue they would be delighted.

They were just sooooo kind when I lost Biggles and I want to repay their kindness by helping out.

I do take your point about their age and know there would be provision made just in case.

When their other cats died they had statues commissioned which are now in their garden . I have seen them once and they are stunning.

Sorry, I don't mean to offend, but I was actually talking about a plan B for the owners.

MSG, for example will probably go on for 15 years or more.

A cat coming from e.g. London may not have the luxury of "return to sender" as often comes with other Rescue cats.

Probably just me being a bit over-cautious, as none of us know what's around the corner regardles of our age. Just another thought occurs, I wonder if Cinnamon Trust would be able to help out if we can't find the perfect puss here on Purrs.

Honestly, I'd be delighted to help out with a transport run for this couple as they do sound to be utterly perfect owners. You know where I am (East London) if I can help (including you here, Pav) I will.

From the description I can't imagine why it wouldn't work out .... they sound like lovely people, living in a gorgeous part of the world and are obviously offering a loving home. I would think any kitty that gets to move in with them is gonna have a very happy life.

I know Papillon was, very reluctantly, looking for a home with outdoor access for Mister as she was planning on returning to Iran and didn't think he'd cope as an indoor cat.

Shame to see this opportunity go to waste and well, with Alison being (literally) on the doorstep to watch over things...

I think a nice cuddly lapcat with a love of the great outdoors, perhaps a two year-old with loads of energy but a little more sense than a kitten. As it happens I have the very thing. Sly, c'mere sweetie....

Seriously, though. If anyone does think they have a cat that we can re-home to this couple, I bet we could do it.

Get in the queue

They have the most beautiful large cotswold cottage and also own a farm. They have renovated the barn and have an annual classical concert, hiring a grand piano plus well known musicians.

Hearing the music wafting out over the fields is amazing. The food/drink after is not bad either

The man is in his 70's and lady late 60's.

The have a chauffeur when needed so transport would not be a problem to the vet.

I am loathe to mention it but they are a very wealthy couple.

They would like a cat from March 9th when they are back from as visit.

Don't worry if anyone can't help as I will get in touch with our local animal shelters as they want a rescue.

Childless they have had cats all their married life.

Sounds like they would be better with a pair of older cats and if the can't drive would be asking what provision they have for that

To be honest younger cats and kittens are hooligans I currently have 7 under a year the Physco Bengal and Kali, Sherbert, Miami, Houston, Monty and jaffa and they have each other to play with but do push their luck sometimes but as they are former ferals they are here to stay

how old? We found out that the kitten we homed to vic minet (BBC cov and warw radio) was rehomed after a few weeks as it was "loony".

not pleased as we did try to convince the woman that a kitten was not the best option AND the cat should come back to us and not be passed round.

people forget how lively kittens are so hopefully they will opt for young or better still middle aged.

I didnt drive until I had been here a year!

All the time in London had to go by taxi or on the train and even tried the bus once but ended up with 2 metre arms lol. The cat carrier fitted nicely across the top of the frame of my 4 wheeled shopping trolley and Kocka loved travelling on the train............one stop lol.

OH has some lovely older clients near Cirencester who were devastated after recently loosing their much loved 11 yr old cat to a seizure.

Her husband and herself are now looking for another kitten/young cat that would have the most wonderful, caring large home in a quiet village.

They are not able to drive so I was wondering if anyone knew of a rescue cat in that area.

The couple have cared for various cats for many years and it would have the best of everything.
