Gill, Eleanor is smashing! She is a fab mum and very friendly with me. She has taken it all in her stride and so her babies are progressing very well. She has 2 or 3 beds to choose from within a few feet of the kitten pen, and is very relaxed about the whole thing. Elanor simply hops in and out of the pen as needed, between strolls into the lounge in the evening to see what else is happening.

They are now on the floor in the kitchen, playing and watching the world go by. Haggis finally realised the dog was there today, and hissed at her in disgust

The little ones had visitors over the weekend, and are now reserved!

After fostering my two with their family last year one of the things I found amazing was how early they had very strong characters. I got them when they were about three weeks and their characters where very well formed.

Sorry for the long wait folks but have finally managed to download photos from phone.

One of the terrible twosome aged about 10 days old, and one with mum taken the day they were born.

Eleanor is a real sweetie, a great mum without being overwhelming to them.

Haggis, the white and ginger one is going to be a troublemaker, I can just feel it! He`s already trying to explore, and can lift his head up when he hears me.

Now they are 1 week old I feel they should officially have a name, didnt want to jinx things earlier.

The ginger one is Riley,

the ginger and white one Haggis.

They are getting bigger by the day, and poor mum is having to eat so much to keep up with their demands. She is a real sweetie, and nothing seems to be worrying her, not even the dog snoring in the night.

I did take some more photos but pc was playing up, perhaps might be able to rescue it later.

I like Riley (for Liz

), this goes nicely for both girls and boys.

I also like Rufus (meaning "Red haired") which I think also was in the Orcshun but this is defo a boys name so need to wait until we know whether the nethers are on or whether the nethers are off

Yes, the ginger one is bigger Judith but the camera angle does make it look even more so!

Mum is fine, but the kittens are so relaxed and content she has no other option but be happy herself.

Not even worried when we go and check on her, Mum just wants a fuss

Is it me or is the ginger one much bigger than its sibling?

Perhaps the second kitten was a separate mating. I wouldn't be surprised if she had been kittened out, poor cat. She probably had litter after litter.

No wonder she was non-plussed.

The kitten definitely was comfortable in there, it probably sensed Mum was being fed better than she had ever been and that Mum was content with her new abode.

Here they are in all their sleeping glory

Snug and warm on their heat pad after a busy day being born yesterday.

The ginger one had to wait a long time for his sibling, who born by c-section after mum stopped pushing. Both babies and mum content, happy and doing well so far.

Mum`s eating us out of house and home, even after such a major op and being spayed too. She really is a poppet, who insisted on walking towards the camera so the ones of her were rubbish

I might get some sleep too tonight!
