I cared for a housemates cat for a period of time, and set up a "spay" for it. I was shopping and got a call from the vets saying Charlie was, in fact, a boy and did I still want to go ahead with the necessary op?! After the initial embarassment I said "of course!"

Charlie was known for the time we had him afterwards as "Camp Cat!"

Good luck at the vets today and with here's hoping there's not going to be a gender realignment for Kali! She does look like a female to me too but I'll admit I'm crap at sexing cats from face shape etc. somone on another forum posted a quiz where you had to guess whether they were boys or girls and I got loads wrong

They do look remarkably similar! I would be very surprised if Kali turned out to be a girl, like everybody else, I think she seems so dainty and feminine!

I'm not sure Lisa. Kali's 'bits' are quite pronounced and sticky out. I've tried to compare it to the online guides but she doesn't look like either! Going to the vets tomorrow to be vaccinated so will double check then. She is so delicate and feminine I'd say she definitely looks like a girl but will find out for definite tomorrow! Compared to Riley she is quite a bit smaller, her head is smaller and her feautures are really dainty - it doesn't show as well in photos as it does in real life. I'm not saying she is a boy as I really wouldn't know one way or the other but I don't recall Tiggy's bits being that pronounced.

I well remember looking forward to the first poowhen the boys arrived! It signals so much; health, being at ease in their surroundings etc. Take no notice Helen, poos are fab!

Have to say I had to go back to the initial posts to discover who was who as it wasn't immediately apparent to me

Just bear in mind our Freddie had really rather large bits before they was chopped and he looks such a girl, my mom always refers to him as "she"

Just tried to compare but it's really difficult a) to keep them still and b) Riley has dark fur around that area and Kali has light so it's hard to compare K to R. She has got a definite sticky out bit though

Will find out for definite tomorrow at the vets!

Here's a few more pics, there were two lovely little poo's in the litter tray so they have been allowed to go into the rest of the house. Some friends came over to see them earlier today and were taking loads of pics on my camera, they got some really good ones...

This is Riley playing on the TOP level of their super duper tall scratcher - they are both up there now.

Here's Kali peeping out from behind the blinds, this shows how small she really is

Deborah Cody says to tell mia not too worry and that kali would be far too young for him anyway.

Helen..I just cannot think for a minute that kali could be a boy, ive studied and studied the pair of them and there are such obvious masculine and feminine differences in bone & jaw structure. Kalis too pretty to be a bruiser

dont worry too much about no pooh poohs they will proberly go by tonight
2 of my cats i got as kittens never went a pooh pooh for about 36 hrs when i first got them
then it was so small comapred to wat i was use to with the others that i had a job to find it buried under all the litter

Yeah they are sleeping in that last pic

In fact they are doing a lot of sleeping, while they are awake they are mental but then they crash out for 3 hours solid. I keep going in there to find them sparko in their little bed and still no poos

Lynn, Riley has been playing with the roundabout toy for hours on end, he bats the ball with his left paw going clockwise and then bats it back with his right paw anti-clockwise, he finally let Kali have a go for a minute and that's when I took the pic.

As for Susanne's ILLEGAL suggestion

All I can say is that you'll have to get past me first

They are going to be indoors, if I move to somewhere suitable for catproofing then I will definitely do that and let them out but for the moment they will be indoor only. Seeing as you asked so nicely here's a couple from today

It sounds like they're settling in really well. If only they'd do a poo! Personally, I think I'd wait until they've done a poo before letting them in the rest of the house in case they just aren't keen on using the tray for poos. If that's the case you don't want to give them too many alternative places to go. I'll send poo vibes your way!

They are just the most wonderful kittens, I have just taken a beautiful picture of Kali but will wait until I have another nice one of Riley before I show it off, don't want to be accused of favouritism

It may take some time though, he won't stay still! They are in the spare room at the moment so I had a good nights sleep, we had a lovely snuggly cuddle before bed again and then when I went in in the morning they just looked angelic sleeping, within 45 seconds they were whirling round the room like a tornado! They must think their name is 'careful' as that's all I seem to be saying. The way they are crashing into walls and furniture is scaring me, I don't want them to hurt themselves

I think they are settled enough to be introduced to the rest of the house now but am a bit worried as they haven't done a poo yet, their foster Mum said they were still doing the odd poo in the corner. They definitely know what the litter tray is for as they have done at least 3 wees each, in fact they love it in there - they are fascinated with the granules moving as they dig. Come on little ones, do a poo!
