Thanks to everyone for your kind words.
I actually feel some relief knowing she's not suffering or with someone else.
I'm going to miss her being around and her brother is missing her but we will give him some extra love and start to move on...

Oh Ben, I'm so so sorry to hear the sad news about Monty ... please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.  I know it's no conselation but you can take comfort from knowing that Monty was only with you a short time but in that time she was happy, loved and able to be herself.

RIP Monty sweetheart ... play hard at the bridge little soul.

Had a call to say someone who cuts the grass at the local Cemetary has found monty.
She had been in an RTA.
At least we know now and put her to rest.
God bless her.
Thank you to everyone for your support.

:( sorry to hear she is still missing ... but don't give up hope.  We have lots of examples of missing kitties turning up after 2 /3 /4 or more weeks.

No news - heartbreaking thinking of the possibilities but we've done everything we can now, just waiting. Not giving up hope.
Her brother is missing her but has bonded more with our other big tabby!
(quite funny to watch him trying to lick him!)

Thanks for the support.  :thanks:
I've already wandered round at 1am (looking very suspicious!) shouting Monty with no luck.
The other siamese has gone missing twice and we found him locked in a garage both times but no luck with Monty  :'(
Just put some posters up last night outside our local school - hoping that one of the kids will have seen something.
Anyway - Saturday tomorrow so maybe someones been away for a week and she'll be released! fingers crossed...

I would definitely try calling her in the early hours of the morning if possible, the person who tried this didn't expect to find her cat but did, it's worth a go

Just got home and still no sign and no calls.
So sad to think of her trapped or lost.
Put some mroe posters up last night and walked 3 miles looking for her.
Called the local rescue centres and no news there.
I'll just keep praying that she'll come back...

if shes not microchipped its really important to leave details with small local rescues as well as large ones see (www.catchat.org for a list) as sadly rescues rarely have time to cross check databases when a cat comes in

Hoping she finds her way back soon

:( So sorry your lovely girl is missing Ben, try all the tips on the list and I hope that she's home very soon.

One good tip which may help is to go out late at night when it's quiet and call for her, she may be hiding somewhere or locked in a shed nearby.  Someone told me they recently lost their cat for a few days and did just that and heard her meowing when they called.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, it helps to know other people care.
I have left a piece of my clothing outside but no food.
If I leave food I think one of my other cats will just eat it!

Hi Ben

Sorry to hear that Monty is missing - I know the pain and worry when this happens

Could she have jumped into the back of a car or van and gone for a ride ?

I know it may sound obvious but are you leaving some food by the back door for her ?

Come home soon Monty your mum and dad are worried about you

Lost White Siamese in Bingham, Nottinghamshire ... RIP
« Reply #1 on: July 05, 2011, 21:28:14 PM »
We have lost our precious white (spayed) siamese called Monty.
She (yes i know its a male name - long story!) went missing on Saturday morning (2nd July)
We have walked round every day and night shouting her, put posters up, leaflets through all the local neighbours doors etc etc
She always comes back at night do she is definatelt trapped/lost/or worse.
I have registered her with petsearchuk and on the national pet register.
If anyone see's or hears of any sightings please please let me know.
She was a rescue cat and has become so attached to me and my wife that it breaks my heart to think of her lost or somewhere else.
We would obviously pay a reward if she was returned safely.
Thank you
