Also put a couple of cardboard boxes in the room with a hole cut out so they can hide.

A feather on a string is a good toy to have cos they can play with it from a distance.

If it were me, I would get a book, sit at floor level with TV/radio on with a small bowl of finely cut boiled chicken..... leave a little chicken near them (hopefully they'll like it) and slowly leave pieces closer and closer to me with the aim of eventually getting them to eat out of my hand....

Suggest leave TV/radio on in their room all the time................

just takes a bit of time, see it from their point of view, strange place, strange smells, no mum - must be awful! I used to sit reading in the room when my cat Tilly was a kitten she soon came to find out what i was doing!

That's good - already you're doing the right things - living life at floor level is quite important until they get to know you. Let them come to you. You can "invite" them of course perhaps by occupying yourself with a toy mouse while you're waiting, or idly flicking a paper ball about - you know, just to distract yourself whilst you're wiating for them to notice you.

Have you got some of the food in that they were eating at the rescue? They'll soon eat when they're hungry, and it's natural you'll worry about that too - all new meowmys do.

Because there are two of them, they have the comfort of sticking up for the other, but they will be very curious, and their curiosity will get the better of them.

Do you know anything of their background or their Mom cat? How old are they right now?

Ice and Cocoa - lovely names. Sounds like when you were cuddling Ice, Cocoa wanted cuddles too.

They are little bit more better today, still hissing though. I learning to lower down to them and not stand so they don't feel intimidated. Ice (white one) is little bit better than Coco (Ginger & white)

Not touched their food since they ate at the rescue but I am sure they will soon when hungry. I was looking to get 2 kittens after and decided a rescue would be a far better option.

I hope they warm to me soon, help Ice this morning and gave him lots of cuddles, while I was doing that his brother Coco was crying so placed him back

They are just in one room of the house so far until they are sure of us and the new surroundings.

if there is any tips on how we can gain their trust we would really appreciate it. Every little bit helps till we have them back to normality.

They will. Don't worry. Everything is very strange and new to them just now, and kittens learn exceptionally quickly. I would like to bet that within 48 hours, they'll be fizzing round the house, explorin' and adventurin' and you'll be wondering where those shy kitties went! Seriously, don't panic.

Kittens home with me tonight

One problem, they are a little shy and hiding away, one if them; Coco is hissing every time we enter the room

Thanks for the advise! I am so thankful to every who has given me support and advise. I will pick the kittens tomorrow, I am so excited, just had my best friend on the phone who is also a cat lover and has been bringing up cats for the past 30 years, lots of good advise given by her too

Seen the photos but was advised to pop along on Thursday and have a look at other kittens too. Its shopping time from now till Thursday for the new arrivals

I have just been visited by Celia Hammonds Rescue and have been given the go ahead to adopt 2 kittens, all went well and they were very impressed.

Thanks for your support, been a long day waiting around for the visit, so pleased its all over & done with. I get them on Thursday
