Glad you've found us, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.  It really is a very friendly forum with lots of friendly helpful advice, if ever needed, and of course lots of fun. Pleased to have you on board  ;D

I do feel it my public duty to warn you though that it can be a teensy bit addictive  You have been warned  :evillaugh:

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Hello Purrs,

I've recently started volunteering at the rescue and just want to let everyone know about all of the wonderful cats currently at the rescue at the moment.

Brenda who runs the rescue turned her house into Allerton Cat Rescue and for more than 40 years she has cared for the unwanted and unloved cats of the area; finding good homes for those which are adoptable, and keeps, for the rest of their nine lives, the old, injured and ugly. Thousands of abandoned and mistreated cats have been rehomed over the years.

Allerton Cat Rescue relies on people's generosity but it has been a struggle over the last couple of years. Local supermarkets do help by having food donation stations but not as much food is being left as it used to be, and financial gifts have reduced greatly since the credit crunch.

Brenda does an amazing job with the cats and it would be great if we could find more loving homes for the cats at the rescue

I look forward to getting to know everyone on here  ;D

Rachael
