At 0700 he was out of the cage and wanted to stay out, I was doppy and trying to get back to bed and he was playing up big time. He is still in cage at the moment cos Franta was down stairs and shouting.

You are right Sue he has been such a good boy.

Thank you Kerri  ;D

Today I have expanded his territory a bit Chris, to include the little bit of landing outside the bedroom and he got so excited cos he thought he was going to get access to the bathroom where the main litter tray is, or downstairs!

He was quite disappointed when he found he couldnt do either cos both involve stairs and sat there looking out.

Its so sad but I have to try and keep him as safe as possible.

I would love just to open the main door and let him out but the vet says no stairs and to be honest I dont think he is strong enough to get down them let alone get back up.

Trouble is as you can tell he will try anything........sigh

Litter tray in the bedroom not the problem but him climbing into one cos of his leg. There is a very small one in there now which he has used twice but was hoping he would just continue to use the puppy pads like he does in the cage.

Yes Sasa has given hime space today  ;D

Well he has taken it easy today and he went back into his cage to use a puppy pad,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hes a clean cat and wanted to go to his litter tray...........sigh

Sasa has made sure that without chasing her out of the bedroom I couldnt let Ducha out and block up the door, so he hasnt been out much and he didnt want to roam around while Sasa was there.

He is quite wobbly but was more intertested in using the litter tray than anything else and dont know how to resolve this ..............should I just put a litter tray in the bedroom?

Ducha allowed out of cage today and his first suicide mission was to try and jump on the bed and fail miserably......sigh

Have put two boxes to create steps but he doesnt understand.

After about 3 hours out I have put him back in cos his little leg is shaking and he is not happy being in the bedroom and wants to get out.

Also causing probs with Franta cos he wants to be on the other side of what ever side there is.....sigh

I think its going to have to be done gradually cos he is obviously very weak muscle wise and bopping around the bedroom is quite a strain...........its his nature to bop around and of course he is investigating everything.

Gill, I know it's small comfort, but I just wanted to point out that both you and Ducha have done fantastically well to get this far.  It's hard on you both.  May the next two weeks pass swiftly and peacefully, and with minimal Puppy Pad disruption.  :)

I'll second that, sending more healing vibes your way

Thank you

I think now I am more worried about him out of the cage than in, he is very restless and wants to bop about and is just starting to moult.

I can always hope that he is finding his leg more comfortable and its healing giving him more stability but but but............

Anyway 2 more weeks of healing and then eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

He is walking out of his cage everytime I open the door and is telling me he wants out!

I think he reckons if he uses as many puppy pads a day as possible that will get him out but it wont LOL

I need to check this thread but think this is his 6th week and due out at end! Really scarey and think he is going to confined to bedroom and in cage at night to see how he goes.

Dont want him bopping up and down stairs but wont be able to stop him doing think
gs in the bedroom.

He is eating well and much better than when the other cats can eat his food.

I am going to have to hope that his leg holds  :scared:
