Hi Philip,

May I just say your kitties are gorgeous =)

If I am taking photos of my cats sometimes they want to co-operate but, most of the time not...lol  They both really like catnip drops (little treat things) and they come in a rustly packet, for some reason both of my girls go mad for the noise of food packaging and screwed up paper... I just rustle the bag and that usually holds their attention long enough for me to get a photo. I have some lovely ones of both Lily & CoCo, I will put them up this weekend for everyone to 'meet' them :):)
..Purring would seem to be, in her case, a safety valve for dealing with a happiness overload..

Just having got a new camera.

Thought it would be fun to start a thread to see if anyone has any good tips on catching good shots of our furbabes.

Also an explanation on F stops and how they relate to a digital SLR would be really useful.
